It’s really not as soft to the touch as I was hoping, but that’s fair for the price of it. I’m also ultra sensitive to “roughness” or texture in fabrics, so I’m sure for any normal person this will feel very soft! I also found that moving at night, the zipper pulls made some noise, which might not be an issue if the fold of fabric covering the zipper was laying more flat. Next time I will have to pull this from the dryer quickly and stretch it out more to get it to lay right (I am not a domesticated housewife so I don’t iron and starch is poison to my skin). I’ll still give 5 stars, though. Even a little wrinkled from being left in the dryer over night (it took longer to dry than I accounted for so I went to sleep!) it’s quite pretty on our new bed! The white is a true clean crisp white. The zipper is at the top/bottom (where the tag is in my picture) for a regular king size bed. For cal king it might wind up being on the side so you might have to pick who gets to have the zipper rattle on their side at night. The zipper itself is pretty heavy duty, more like for a coat than what I usually see on more expensive duvet covers with their tiny zippers, and has 2 pulls. It was fun meeting my partner in the middle when we were putting this over the insert. I do not think as a short person with minor disabilities that I could put this cover on by myself without a lot of effort, but this is also my first crack at a king size bed and accoutrement and I suspect that dressing this bed is just going to be a two-person job, ever after. It is very fun shaking the cover while gripping the corners of the insert at the head and foot of the bed to try and get it centered, so I don’t mind that. Sometimes in long term committed relationships even in chores sharing is caring. ❤️

Deep pockets, no piling but also not the softest I've slept on. These sheets win due to the pockets being so deep. I'm able to fit my featherbed, mattress warmer and topper under the sheet. It's really tight, but it does fit. They were stiff at first but softened up after a wash. They're comfortable against my skin, and I expect them to hold up.

The sheets are soft and fit nicely. The top is large enough to tuck underneath and keep tight. I have a Beauty Rest Black queen size, which is a hybrid and love it. The fitted sheet fits without issue. Washed a couple of times, no issues. Soft, light and keeps me warm with winter approaching.
