Travelled in France and Italy the end of December for 10 days. We each had one of these backpacks and each had a carry-on suitcase. We got the mid-sized, smaller backpack. This one is super secure.     • Fantastic, stylish, intelligent design

For all intents and purposes, this is a great bag. It's super comfortable regardless of how much you pack in it, whether you casually wear it with one strap over a shoulder or traditionally with both straps. It's comfortable for long term wear, looks stylish, and feels secure. I took it with me on two trips to New York this year, used it daily as my main backpack for work, and took advantage of every pocket. Here's the cautionary tale, and it's brief. Four months after initially buying it, the lining just inside the top completely unraveled and came apart, as if the seam was too close to the edge and the material just pulled away from the stitches. Not knowing exactly what the warranty is, I sent an email to the address indicated on the tag that came with it asking about the warranty. The result? "The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly." Two attempts at emails, and their @outlook.com email address can't take any more messages. Is Kopack a company with a website? Nope. Is their pledge to provide "a 5 star experience" to the customer intact? Shaky. This may be a unique experience - everything that's mass produced can and will have some odd turnouts that are sub-par. On the other hand, caveat emptor; A full email inbox from a generic domain may be an indication that they're not actually intended for heavy use. I will attempt to fix it myself or - more likely - may go the route of finding a more dependable brand with a website and working customer service portal. UPDATE - 12/16 After chatting with Diana from Kopack, they arranged a replacement backpack right away, and the entire conversation and process was stress-free. In fact, the backpack I received was an updated design of the same model which feels more sturdy and better organized inside. Thanks to my workload during this busy holiday season, I've stuffed this backpack and used it on a daily basis, and it's fantastic. I can get to everything I need easily and will be travelling with it again soon. As far as customer service and quality control goes, I can absolutely understand how there will always be one-off flaws when it comes to products. The response and follow-up, once they were able to sort out their email issues, were super professional and I really appreciated how they prioritized getting me a new bag. Was I still using the one with the broken lining until I got the new one? Broken or not, it's still a great bag. The new one is now a five star review, naturally. ... show more

    • Great backpack for work
Researched a lot of backpacks, both offline and online, before choosing this kopack backpack. I'm an IT specialist and sometimes carry multiple laptops in it. No matter how heavy it is, once I get it on my shoulder(s), the weight is distributed in such a way that I don't feel that awful muscle pull that some backpacks cause. It's slim yet expands for larger items. Nice pockets of varying sizes inside make it easy to find things. There are also two zippered pockets on the front, the bottom one is a little smaller, which makes it great to carry accessories I need to access quickly. I haven't used the charging port yet, but it's nice to have in the event I need it. The material is waterproof and easy to clean with a damp microfiber cloth. The straps and stitching are quality material, the top handle is really strong, and easy to lift the bag with. I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

This bag is a replacement for my very good, but very bulky, travel computer backpack. I was looking for a smaller, higher-security travel backpack, and this one definitely delivers. It is beautifully made, with quality materials, and configured in such a way that it really is quite impossible for anyone to get into your stuff while you're wearing it on your back. All the zippers are concealed, and you have to take it off in order to open any of them. The material seems to be strong enough that I expect it would take enormous skill, and an extremely sharp blade to cut through it without you noticing while you wear it. As far as wearing it goes, it's a good, comfortable-enough backpack. It is supposed to be rain proof, and it includes a rain cover that you can pull from the bottom and fit it on top, if you need to step out in a downpour. I have not had the need to test it, but I assume that it works. It does have far fewer pockets inside than my previous bag, and it would be tricky for me to include a change of clothes inside, for example, with the tech stuff that I usually pack... but I was looking for smaller, and that's what I got. The backup battery carrier is a nice convenience, and it's easy enough to plug your device to the USB port that faces outside. Fitting and connecting the battery is slightly awkward, though. Altogether, I'm very pleased with the purchase, and at the price that I paid, I think it's great value for the money. ... show more

This Kopak backpack is a great value. It has plenty of pockets, but none are exposed so it has anti-theft merits when traveling or commuting. The straps are comfortable and adjustable.
