I bought this a couple days ago to replace my other thermos because I dropped it and the top cracked and the gasket was loose whenever the drink inside wasnt piping hot... That got me thinking about what the best possible cap for a thermos would be. It would need a screw lid, but would need a mouthpiece to keep in more heat. It would need a small cap to cover the mouthpiece and that should also screw on. I searched all over amazon for this product, and I absolutely love it. It may not keep a drink hot for a full 12 hours unless it was put in boiling, but it will keep it at a good drinking temperature for a solid three to six hours. This was exactly what I was looking for, and as long as the lid is on tight, it will not leak AT ALL. This is my new best friend.

I purchased two of these water bottles for my two daughters, ages 5 and 6. They’re the perfect size for kids if you want them to be bigger (less refills) but not so big that they’re too heavy. Unfortunately, I discovered that there’s now black mold in the lid in the top cap that twists closed over the drinking spout. We only hand wash and set them out to air dry so I think the only way to avoid the mold would be to hand dry every tiny crevice after each wash. We’ve had these since April of 2022 and it’s now January of 2023 to give a bit of a time frame. I’ll now be buying new because of the mold.

This is perfect for my younger elementary aged children. My preschool age have a harder time remembering to close this screw lid. A different type of lid would be better for the younger ones. These have lasted 1/2 a school year and show significant bumps and scratches, but I think it adds character. I was looking for a quality metal water bottle for my kids and these have worked out great. I think we will add stickers to cover sum of the scrapes.

Does not leak! Even when upside down if it’s fully closed it does not leak. Easy to clip things to it and with a D-bar it would easily clip to a backpack or something. Not too big to be heavy but big enough to keep me hydrated.

I bought this bottle in yellow & a smaller one in red for my 9 & 6 yr old boys. My 9 year old is very rough with-well, everything. So the yellow one has been dropped, rolled, tossed on to a concrete driveway, etc. so far it’s not landed on the plastic top but the body of the bottle has held up very well. Its only sustained a few slight scratches on the paint. I love the wide open top bottles because they are easy to clean and I can clean them thoroughly even if they’ve been lost for a week or two. I don’t trust straws being able to get clean enough after they’ve been lost for a while. The wide handle at the top makes it easy for my boys to carry when we go for hikes. Overall 5 stars.
