This is a different kind of a solution to the problem many face when playing FPS games with console controllers. Most will tell you "get good" or "play with the settings", but sometimes those just aren't enough depending on your hand/eye coordination coupled with each particular controller design. Some joysticks just naturally have more "give". Some are stiff, some are very easily moved. I only used one black ring, and I put it on the joystick that controls aim, as I have no reason to put it on the one that controls movement. It took some getting used to because it creates more resistance the farther you push the joystick. I started with 70% sensitivity. I quickly learned you can use 100% sensitivity and feel fine. It makes quick movements harder so you may feel sluggish when trying to respond quickly. Your thumb can get fatigued. I have a tendency to freak out when I see a whole bunch of enemies and this makes me move the joystick in drastic ways. This really helps with precision aiming in stressful situations. I have not taken it off and I will continue to use it.

I'm an older gamer (over 60, we'll leave it at that) and bought these to help with my controller games on a pc gaming rig. It really does help eliminate/reduce the slop in the movement. I have 2 motorcycle games , MotoGP 18 and TT Isle of Man. They made a huge difference in my precise control on turns, cut my wrecks down by 80%+. Also, it helped on a few lower end FPS games (when I'm not on M/KB). Yes, they are a bit expensive for what they are but, with my previous engineering skills I still couldn't make any DIY ones that worked. I've only used the purple set which was perfect for me. Gaming is expensive, but these were worth it.

They definitely increase force needed to move joysticks. Probably a little too much which is why I quit using. In my experience It kept getting harder when the stick stayed down a little bit after pushing it to melee etc so you’d have to pick stick back up and reset over and over. Not for me and seems overpriced for what it is.

overall, it’s a good product they work amazing. I personally use them for MLB the show and rainbow six siege, but the durability on the rings are very weak. I tried putting one on and it broke in half so be very careful putting them on.

So I have waited a few months to write review. The black ring's tension are too high for me personally and cause my hands to fatigue and cramp. The purple rings are perfect with no discomfort and will fine tune your aim. You will probably have to go into settings and adjust aim sensitivity.. Durability does not seem to be an issue. Note that these are difficult if not pointless to use with the joystick extensions that come with a Scuf Vantage 2, like i said it is doable if you stack both tensioner rings on only 1 joystick but will bind and can cause aim drift if you remove your thumb. Durability is outstanding so far and no signs of wear I play FPS 3-4hrs a day and up to 8hrs on my days off, which is why I waited to write this review, again this is only using a Suf Vantage 2 but I'm sure same should go for all controllers. Great product and I do plan on getting another backup set

I am 47 and I still enjoy FPS games. I have an elite 2 controller and I have the tension set at the tightest tension on the right thumbstick. I got the mixed pack and have be using the black ring for about a week now. With the vortex high thumbstick. I run 8/8 and .80/1.00 dynamic with precision on COD MW. I run medium tension with a wider normal thumbstick(360 version) on the left. Before the ring I was always over pushing my shots especially with ARs. My drag scopin was fairly on point before this ring but Ive noticed that I lock onto targets and stay on them when strafing. Having a thumb that was broken and never properly fixed, I have found that this ring gives the extra push back I need. I have tried different sens but feel 8/8 gives me enough flick especially running dynamic. I use precision due to the constant fight you have to deal with while in multiple engagements. The ring feels like it gives you enough aim assist that I might try no aim assist. But I really feel no help with precision anyways. I am not a GOD or even a steady player but I can jump on and go 18/7 for a couple of matches. I am happy.

These just don't work well. I used them on 2 controllers and they still sucked. I love Kontrol Greek but this just sucks. Their thumbsticks work great, their grips work great but these don't. Even with the medium strength ring it is nearly impossible to aim. I had my sensitivity on max and it was like I was on 3. It did help aim though. I could bring the recoil down and I could hit the enemy with most of my shots. You don't over steer with your aim (mainly because it's hard to even aim) and its easier to get back on the enemy if the recoil takes you away. I haven't tried any other brand and at the moment I don't plan to. I hope this was helpful and I hope that you have an amazing day.
