I've had this sort of tool before, but the ones before this had a smaller head, no angle on the shaft, and slick handles. This is an improvement on my old tool in pretty much every way, and is indispensable for getting the lungs (and other hard to remove viscera) out of a bird in a matter of minutes and far more cleanly than you possibly can by hand. My only suggestion is that for this tool, having a wooden handle, you need to keep it carefully cleaned, oiled, and sanitized while you're working with poultry! ... show more
