We discovered Kong EXTREME toys a couple summers ago and they’ve been our saving grace. We share our lives with a 7 year old American bully and you know the type. Built like a propane tank, brain like dial up internet, enormous heart and jaws like an alligator. The Kong Extreme have lasted through hundreds of hours of hardcore fetch on mixed natural terrain including gravel, grass, forest, meadow and mud. It’s survived ongoing, frantic chewing and slower more self soothing chewing. Ultimately, these are the only toys that have survived, making us repeat customers! This double ball is a great size for fetch and not a choking hazard for a dog our size (60lbs), but I would be wary if using for a giant breed like a Great Dane, St. Bernard etc ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very good toy for aggressive chewer. My Husky loves this toy to play fetch. I just toss it and he gets it. Since he’s a Husky he will not bring it back until he is ready! Typical Husky. Toy quality:

The dog loves the toy. She chews on it with fervor and the same as her Kong ball. She is chipping pieces away, first pieces in less than an hour. It's tough but not indestructible. I think the value is good. She has yet to take pieces off of her Kong ball off. I will let her have both and replace as needed. I don't know of a product any better than the ball with the other toy coming in 2nd place. ... show more

    • This is not as strong as most KONG toys are.
I bought this toy for my dog today and he has two other Kong toys a bone which is also the black one implying that it is the toughest rubber and a tire, they both have lasted a long time. So I thought KONG was the only way to have toys that last. It did not last 10 minutes before he picked pieces off and laid them next to the toy. Don’t depend on this toy if your pup is a super chewer. ... show more

These are great for filling and freezing. It seems durable enough for a crate treat and provides a lot of entertainment. Great sized toy for a small/medium sized dog and has survived a dedicated chewer with minimal damage.
