Drives around well in sand due to 4-wheel drive which helps it get unstuck. It has a beefy power pack compared to some other toys so lasts a bit longer. The dump function is relatively strong and doesn't bog down when moving dirt. My main gripe is that if you take this thing into the sand it will get stuck again and again and again. This is due to poor ground clearance, the wheels dig in and suddenly it's sitting on the undercarriage and won't move so you have to drag it. Considering I got these for my kids to move sand around in the sand box it's a pretty significant flaw. Other than that they have a ton of fun. ... show more

My parents owned a trucking company, i spent the first few years of my life on construction sites and I recently decided to try and built my own hobby sized construction site. This was my first edition, I've always liked this style of dump truck (the real life ones are just so huge). This one is really nice, the details on the cast are great ive uploaded some photos to show the detail. I've hauled around some rocks in it and uploaded a video of that so you can see. The rocks do scratch the plastic and the weight being loaded more towards the rear can cause it to flip. so make sure you are taking that into consideration when your loading the truck. the controls are basic, just forward and back with each side controlled independently. as a result, its really easy to drive and use I have no doubt kids (of any age really) could use this pretty easily. great for a toy or if you are an adult who just hasn't grown up yet like me. ... show more

I got this originally for me (a grown man) to use with some of my buddies. My kids found it and they love it. The battery lasts a long time and it's capable on different terrains. It's fun to load up with rocks and dirt. The build quality is pretty good. The controls are easy to use. Works well!
