The furniture is solid and sturdy. There is damage to the inside of a few pieces of wood but it’s all covered by the mattress. Which so far is nice and comfy. I’ve not used it as a bed yet but I really enjoy the recline position of it. I am a journeyman mechanic but I’m small and injured. Was still able to put it together myself, but did struggle with putting the bed on the frame. I laid it out into a bed and then put the mattress on it then unrolled it from the wrapping. That way I didn’t have to try and wrestle the mattress around fully expanded. I read other reviews saying that was the worst part. This small adjustment made it very simple to get the mattress on the frame. Then I just put it in a seated position and sat down on it to crease the mattress. The drawers are not deep, but I do have 4 blankets and a sheet set in them, so it’s perfect for what I needed them for. Overall, so far, I’d definitely say this was worth the money. I live in a tiny home so measurements were a big thing and this fit perfectly for the space I have!. I did have issues with shipping but I live in the middle of nowhere and there was a snow storm so I’m not gonna complain about that. But only leaving 4 stars because none of the damage could’ve been caused during shipping, as the packaging was superb, so that means they sent it to me damaged and that kinda pisses me off. But not so much I wouldn’t order from them again. ... show more

I like this futon, and wanted to buy another for our RV. I paid $585 one year ago. Why the 25% price increase in one year. At that price point, I might buy a wallhugger made by Strata Furniture and not have to pull it away from the wall when I want to use it.

We purchased this for our upstairs loft and we love it. Overall excellent quality and the cushion is very comfortable. Instructions are very easy to follow - you don't need two people to put it together but it definitely would makes it easier. They provide a youtube link to view for easy to follow instructions, which is great because you can pause and rewind as needed. If put together properly, this does easy go up and down. I opted to get the underneath storage and that was a little disappointing because the drawers are not attached, they simply just slide underneath the futon and it's not much storage space as I thought. This thing is impossible to transition from flat to couch without several people and every time you do it something structural breaks that can not be fixed or at least fixed easily. massive waste of money. I should have spent it at a gentleman's club. I say this after 2 years ownership. If you are going to buy a futon, definitely go Kodiak. I was so impressed with the sturdy construction and ease of assembly. Kodiak is highest rated weight capacity of all brands. I purchased mine with the 8 inch innerspring mattress. All friends who have owned or slept on a futon were very impressed. Mattress definitely needs broken in, but by far the nicest futon I’ve seen. Was actually surprised how easy it was to assemble. Also came packaged nicely so no damage on it, which is rare for stuff this large.
