I am happy with this purchase. I have used this a few times, and found it simple to use. After downloading the app, I got a notification it was out of date, and a new app had to be downloaded. This was annoying. Perhaps the correct app will be referenced in newer instruction manuals. The printing took longer than I expected, & the quality could be better. It was easy to setup and easy to print the picture but after the first 10 I started to have problems. I replaced the cartridge with a new and went to print a picture but then the film stuck to the photo paper which then got stuck in the roller. I figured it was a bad cartridge and put another in. Well the roller broke in the process and then the new cartridge I put in did the same thing. So I’m sending this one back and getting another one. Hopefully the new won’t do this. I love the picture quality. But this is not a Bluetooth printer. The adapter you plug your phone into gives me trouble pretty often. Sometimes it takes me a few minutes to get it plugged in. Hopefully it won't break off eventually. Pictures print after about 20-30 seconds. The printer requires an app, which is easy to use and has many editing & decorative features. Printer has to be plugged in while in use. Cartridge & paper is easy to change. ... show more

After a lot of research, comparisons I was very surprised to receive a unit with what I can only describe as a generic manual not for this unit to explain the use I had to decipher. I think I spent something like two hours, start to finish thinking it would be 10-15 minutes to "instantly print" a photo - per it's "instructions". It does not comment anything one would require when unboxing this specific offering or this *specific* unit. - The fact that it has an ink cartridge *already installed, and first thing notes "How To Install a Cartridge". (Not to mention that what it advises made no sense to me. You can't literally follow it's "instructions" to accomplish that task.) - This unit will not use the software it advised to pull up (search for) in the app store (or even what those apps are for - and not all for simply printing photos on 4x6 paper. - That, "out of the blue", quite by surprise - it will "all of a sudden" load a Firmware Update and then make you go through ALL of what you just did by "following" the "instructions" (wow). It ID's the app, loads it and proceeds and entirely different from the prior three already loaded to use this unit - if going "slowly" and trying to do what the text in this not organized "user manual" advises. - It will not work with "Selected Photos"; it REQUIRES access to all of you phone, mic, camera, photos, gallery to even proceed to printing a single photo. - It will only address 3 specific social media platforms - that I don't use and not the one I do and with no way to "other"; so, that "feature" is useless to me, to print a jpeg (?). - That it will print the photo with some software *Branding* at the bottom and it's upside down and does not match anything - certainly not "Kodak". - It's IN the photo, not on the removable edge and *large*, and a logo to some company "powered by...". It says to for example, push the paper tray in until it's "makes the snap sound" - no snapping into place for me or seemed possible with this unit. One side did, the other did not and felt very breakable upon removal in attempting to confirm I was placing it correctly - that's not clear, or well marked, not obvious. (One video here shows that, however, their not bothered by it, it seems. somehow closed the lid after inserting it; *even more concerning to me now having experienced this.) Then, using a standard resolution photo to print, same as used for years and actually not configurable it states prior to printing that it is a low resolution photo, but does not comment what that is, or should be. This is not a high resolution printer per this listing - anyway; so what? The app software, aside from the *Facial Adjustment* features (?) is the same "stuff" I've used for years on any "Edit" photo feature - filters concerning the "fixes" of a photo. And, what it displays was not what was printed when used these if even then used "undo". The second photo, used "as-is" came out somewhat passable in quality, yet had a few anomalies I just never have seen during digital photo printing (would not happen from "film"); I can only describe it as a kind of pixelization - specifically the lens glare on the eye-glasses was a blue blotch and not rendered in anyway to make it look like it's not a blotch of color. I could go on, but I'll leave it there. To summarize and in my opinion of years of use of these kinds of things, this was a low quality and poorly assembled - everything, as I've experienced. It's not what I expected from a Kodak branded offering. This "bundling" to me felt like a bunch of stuff, not necessarily initially offered as a offering, put together without re-considering that it is it's own - product offering that requires a "quick start" summary at a minimum of what to do. I almost made the mistake already noted in one video (I watched many) - of not waiting once hit the print button. I would have otherwise printed *more* than the one intended. It took a while for even the "power button to blink" and sound made notifying *anything* was happening. Also, no *note" to wait, e.g. 30 secs, after a single firm button push - no "instructions" about this important first use stuff. (This paper and ink is not so cheap that one might print and toss in the garbage a few first tries to figure it out.) So for me, after a long time deciphering the instructions, seeing stuff "just happen" (glad I moved slowly and deliberately), and only the two photos I mention above, for this kind of money and quality it's being returned as not what it says it is i any way here as I read it and explain above. I hope this helps someone else to make a decision. ... show more

I really like this photo printer. I’ve had little pocket printers in the past and they were nothing like this Kodiak. This is the real deal. This printer makes real top quality photos! Like the kind you get from a photo developer! It’s easy to set up if you follow the directions. It’s very easy to use with an app on your phone that works great and is a breeze to use. If you don’t have a phone or internet connection this isn’t something you want then. But the picture quality is amazing! They are so clear and crisp! I’m really excited to be able to print my own 4x6 photos now for friend, family and myself! ... show more
