These lights have a lot of advantages compared to other lights. The wrap around design provides excellent lateral visibility, which a lot of lights lack. Blinking light are more visible to drivers and save battery life, and there are multiple blinking modes. I use the high power blinking mode, which puts out 170 lumens and has a life of 6.5 hours. All these advantages make the rear light an excellent option. The front light is not as useful. It has 320 lumens, but it is spread out over a wide angle, making it useless for illuminating the path ahead. A blinking, powerful light in your field of view is distracting, so I've found I can only use the solid light modes, which have a low battery life. I use the front cobber along with a good quality headlamp, which is very good for illumination. The mounts are a mixed bag. Even after a few months of practice, I still can't get them on/off quickly. The lights are held in place by a square plastic tab. So far, they seem perfectly secure, but they are difficult to use, and I've already broken a corner off one. Everything is very replaceable on these mounts. You can buy a new mount and strap for 5 dollars from knog. The rubber strap is an O-ring so it is very easy to replace. ... show more

    • Craaaaazy bright and really innovative design - Knog took the rear light to the next level!

Bright is an understatement. This is at least 10 times as bright as the light I had on my bike previously. The light has two mounts it comes with; one for what I think is a seat/rack stay and one that mounts to your seat post. They both have rubber contact pads, so they stay in place and don't mar you seat post or seat stay. The rubber grommets they come with are really thick and strong, too. And unlike the cheap lights you see on here, the grommet stays on the light when you take the light off the bike, so it's pretty difficult to lose them. The light has a built in USB dongle so you don't need a charging cord - it can plug into any USB port to charge. This light is extremely well made. I plan to order quite a few more from Knog. They are expensive but your safety on the road is what's most important. But be warned - you should not look directly at the light when you turn it on, especially in the dark. This thing will literally blind you for several minutes if you aren't careful. But that is also a fair trade-off! Thanks KNOG! ... show more

Había usado otra lampara de la misma marca, siempre funciono muy bien, decidí comprar este modelo pero no funciono, a los 3 meses de uso empezó a poner problema el botón de encendido y cambio de modo ya no funciona bien, a veces no prende o no se puede apagar, a veces se pueden cambiar los modos, a veces no, se prende sola y se ve que en el interior hay humedad, hice el reclamo a Amazon pero me dicen que ya esta por fuera de la ventana de garantía, mal producto ... show more

Not a nock on the product, as I did not use it. In fact, I hate to even rate the item since my beef is not with the product itself, but rather Amazon for having an inaccurate listing description and purchase options. I'll give this four stars so as to not hurt the products overall rating too much... So, double check the listing and BUYER BEWARE, as the Sold by Amazon listing I purchased this from was incorrect... On the listing page for the Knog Mid Cobber rear light there are two purchase options: "Rear" for $44.95, and "Twin Pack" marked down from $129.95 to $77.97. As I have multiple bikes the twin pack seemed the better deal. I didn't receive two of anything. In fact, I didn't even receive the Mid Cobber. I received ONE regular Cobber, which is larger than the Lil' Cobber or the Mid Cobber that I ordered. If selling a Cobber, list it as such, not as a twin pack of Mid Cobbers. The regular Cobber is just too long for my seatpost in my application. It may be fine for others, and may actually be "better" due to the larger lighted surface area. Regardless, I had decided on a Mid Cobber as a happy middle ground, thought I was buying two of the them, and instead received one of the wrong item. Not sure why they called it a "Twin Pack" of anything... ... show more

Great purchase but would make an even better gift. I want another one of these and I can’t figure out why. They’re a perfect compact size. They are bright and the variety of light settings is thoughtful and useful depending on riding conditions. I love that it’s rechargeable and that it comes well packaged and is made with quality materials. Definitely recommend. I hope I never have to replace it! ... show more
