Knipex makes these in many different sizes, but I bought the 5”(125mm) sized ones to use in my bicycle tool pouch. This is the right size wrench for every repair or adjustment you will need to make while out riding, you should also get the Knipex 5” mini Cobra Pliers and a 3 way hex key set for all the other bolts as well. Knipex is very precise and these are adjustable for every bolt on your bike and grip like no other wrench. They are designed for comfort and versatility (you can true disk brake rotors as spokes as well) and will hold anything that fits solidly. Kinpex Pliers Wrench are the best! They are easy to adjust, easy to use and are comfortable to use. I prefer the vinyl dipped grips because they are a little easier to get into tight spots. The comfort type grips are good too if you have the room. What makes these special is they have a 10 to 1 leverage advantage as you grip the handles. So if you squeeze the handles with ten pounds of force, you are putting 100 pounds of force onto what you are holding with the pliers. I love them so much, I have several different sizes. No, they are not cheap. But, you most definitely get what you pay for! ... show more

I’m not sure what I will use these for, but they were just so cute and adorable that I had to buy them. I am already a huge fan of Knipex’ quality so I was pretty sure these would be good as well and I was not disappointed. They are very well made and function flawlessly. I had the three plier set in my wish list for over a year. I didn't want to spend that kind of money but I was fascinated by the high rating. I love tools and really appreciate when a company thinks outside the box for a clever design and then follows it up with high quality materials and manufacturing. I finally pulled the trigger on the set and then purchased this one days after when the price dropped by $10. This plier is incredibly small and crazy expensive for something so small. BUT ... I like having the whole set and this is a REALLY convenient, portable size. You easily keep this tool in any pocket for use in a million small jobs. I cleaned out my tool box, removing most of my pliers, channel locks and adjustable wrenches because these tools do all three jobs - better. The biggest difference with this design is that when it "locks" into place with that cam mechanism the handles don't want to separate like they do with channel locks under load. It's a really good design. Also, the jaws remain parallel at all times, which is sweet. Finally, there are no teeth to damage the hardware. Are these worth $50? Not unless you must have them and are willing to pay the premium because there is no alternative for this design. I was hesitant to blow more than half of my tool budget for that pay period on four pliers but I'm really glad that I did. Better than expected! I keep these in my pocket daily! I am in the commercial HVAC business and these are truly a life saver. Have used them so much and called them my “handy dandy’s” enough that my coworkers now refer to all knipex as such LOL! Great tool and highly recommend!

I was worried that the smaller size might make these a tool I only reach for in niche circumstances. I've never been more wrong. I love these things. I look for reasons to use them, go out of my way to use them. I have a little above average size hands but these still work just fine in them. The smooth jaws are great for not marring surfaces I use on them. I love that I can just slip them in my pocket and forget that they're in there so I usually just keep them on my at all times. These things have insane strength behind them, I can grip things suuuper tightly to the point I have to be careful not to dent whatever I'm holding with them if I squeeze too tightly. and I'm not worried about hurting the jaws on them because Knipex steel is crazy tough, whatever magic they use to make their tools is working for them. The price may seem steep for such a small tool but I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again, in fact I'll probably buy a spare at some point (incase I misplace them, I can't imagine them breaking). I truly feel like this is a tool that I'll be able to pass down to my kids and them to theirs. ... show more

I bought the XS so that I could use them for loosening and tightening gas lines on grills when assembling them. While it does work for that, it is a bit difficult to get enough torque without it hurting my hands. I have used it for other things with far better success. It is particularly well suited for nuts and bolts where there isn't enough room for a full width pair of pliers because the jaws are thinner than you might expect. The adjustment mechanism takes a bit of getting used to. It is also difficult to try to keep it adjusted when opening the jaws to get another turn. For a small pair of pliers to keep in your pocket for occasional use, it is great. The more you use it though, the more you may want to switch to something different. ... show more
