It strips solid and stranded wire 10-20 AWG. Wire locating ridges make it easy to find stripping holes. It cuts 6-32 and 8-32 screws without threading from either the front or back of the tool. Cutting blades are designed to cut individual wires, NM-B, BX/MC, and battery cable. Lock can be used either right or left handed. Knurled tip and wide flat jaws for better grip. Also includes wire looping groove and gripping area for pipes.

Before buying these I had always been a Channellock guy. I had my gripes about them, but they were never a big deal so I just ignored them. But since buying these, I probably won’t go back. They don’t have the slack that channel locks develop. They don’t have that sloppy kind of feel. The pressure you can apply is great. I never have any slipping issues. I use mine daily when working on Sloan flushmates and things like that. To sum it up, can you complete the job with a cheaper alternative? Yes. 100%. Are these a good buy in the long term? now my crescents are just hammers. used only of I feel like it type. these pliers are great. they definitely hold and bite much harder, as hard as you squeeze it multiplies to clamp force. daily as school bus mech, they hold their own. first one ill grab.

I would never order any other adjustable wrench or smooth jaw pliers. You’ll likely never mar another flush valve, shower head or delicate surface using these tools. The gripping power is what gives you the edge in your work. No slipping just gripping with the cantilever design. Money well spent!
