One thing folks might not like: the lock button. Once the selected width is set, you need to push the button to adjust to another size. I like the button/lock feature. The jaw opening and overall size is good for my purposes (general residential projects). The quality of this Knipex water pump pliers is great. My review is influenced by having struggled with an inexpensive pair for decades, so I’m guessing even a pair that sells for 1/2 the price would have thrilled me. Though, I have a different Knipex product that I carry in my pocket every day at work (7.5” pliers wrench with smooth jaws (no ‘grip’ teeth)), so having had such good luck with 2 Knipex products, I might be raising my standards! OK, these are Knipex. The Good Stuff. Their reputation remains untarnished. These are on-the-large-size "channel lock" pliers. Chrome finish because I'm in plumbing and I don't want them to rust. Fancy multi-material handles for comfort. (You can squeeze and push and turn harder for longer.) They work. They work great. There are no "cons" to these. They do what they're supposed to do, they do what they're advertised to do, and they do it flawlessly. ... show more

The Knipex Cobra Pliers were exactly as expected. The DHL delivery was incredibly bad. Instead of placing the package in our black plastic box labeled, DELIVERIES, the package was left outside in the rain. I didn't need to worry about opening it, as the package disintegrated in my hands. The pliers were in a flimsy plastic bag, open on one end. It is the first time I've had to wipe a new tool dry on delivery. If there was a place to rate the delivery, I would have given DHL a ZERO. Knipex or whoever shipped the pliers should consider sealed plastic wrapping with a desiccant inside. A padded plastic tear proof envelope should have been used. ... show more

Good tool a little spendy id never had a chrome plated cobra pliers(i have many non chrome and very much like the quality and usefulness truly the best tongue and groove style pliers available) and decided to splurge a little. Aside from the shininess I'm unaware of an advantage besides tool identification(i know thats mine because I'm the only one that spent the extra money) the chrome is a little slicker than raw chrome vanadium but aside from that good tool ... show more
