I bought this for my brother as a Christmas gift and it has been great. Though I end up using them more than he does. I considered the other options, but I went with the full metal and absolutely don't regret it. Full metal means super easy to wash, no joined parts that might get loose. It doesn't feel weird. All the knives are great. Even made me realize how frequently useful kitchen scissors are. The individual steak knives are awesome. All the blades are ridiculously sharp. They can take a smacking or dropping and just bounce around and keep on cutting. I did mention how much easier they are to wash. If you wash dishes you've probably noticed the difference between say a spoon and a knife with a handle. Gunk can build up around where the blade leaves the handle and the crevice is so small it's hard to get anything in there so food slowly builds up and you have to specifically get in there with something and kinda scrape it out before it will wash out. Nothing like that when the whole damn knife is one piece of metal. What else do you want? They are sharp, beautiful, and easy to clean. They hold up to wear and time. I bought them like a year or two ago, I don't remember but they still seem like new. The knife rack is great, glossy and stylish. <--- Note I am a stickler for the Oxford comma, but this isn't a list, I intentionally mean "glossy and stylish" as a subset of "great". ... show more

This is a great stylish and very sharp set of knives. A bit lighter in the hand then my last $et. Still heavy enough for the feel of quality and nice texture handle for grip. Easy enough to clean and dry (hand wash extremely recommended, don't air dry). Also, notice these are all metal! If they hold up, no wood or plastic or rivets in the handle to fail which is why my last set had to go. The negative for this set after a few weeks of daily use. The scissors don't really fit the slot they are supposed to fit. They only partially fit. And the block was very high-end looking on day one. A few weeks later of daily use. It's chipping and falling apart where the steak knives attach to the main block, see the pics. Not sure the glued block will last long term. But it's not worth the hassle to try to exchange for the price paid. Ultimately, I would buy this set again for the sale price I paid. Would be a nice gift for all but the snootiest of people. I have had high end and discount brands. The knives feel more premium than their price. My block on the other hand didn't wear in the premium level of the knives so far. It was a good purchase either way. Odds are in your favor with these knives. Although, if the manufacturer reads this. Send a new block or at least some stain/paint to fix the block. Really nice set of knives. They where really sharp when I got them. And one of the few sets that had a carving fork. My only little complaint is the way the handles look. Gives them a kinda cheep look in my opinion. But there sharp, they have a really nice wait not to heavy but not to ligh. and there one piece of metal (handles are hollow) But its well bilt and u don't have to worry about your handle falling apart or off also don't have to worry about water getting trapped or behind the handle. Would definitely recommend 👌 👍 Have had them for a few months still love them!! ... show more

My wife and I have owned several knife sets over 25yrs and were sick of knives that wouldn’t keep a nice sharp blade. Those days are finally over. A good set of knives are easily sharpened, keep an edge with daily use, are sturdy and cover every need. Quality: Love the look of the set in our kitchen. More importantly these knives are so easy to keep sharp. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to prepare a meal with dull knives. The set comes with a steel sharpening rod that works well. We paid the extra $5 and bought a stand alone sharpener that keeps a razor edge with a few quick swipes of the knife you’re using. This set is so well made it will last forever. As you can see in the pictures every knife has a form fitting, non-slip handle Versatility: This set has every knife you need for easy, quick food preparation for cooking. Along with a chef’s knife you get slicing and utility knives in addition to the usual bread, Santoku and paring knives you would expect. We love the serrated steak knives...very nice change from the straight edged ones we’ve used in the past. In addition you get the sharpening rod, a carving fork and cooking shears! The carving fork is a particularly nice addition. Price: For $50 you are getting a set worth $150 easily and it is backed by 100% satisfaction guarantee. Have only had it for just over a week, and so far they have been excellent. Love the appearance of them, and the wife is totally impressed with the kitchen/chef’s knives and the sharpness. The wood block that they’re stored in is a beautiful addition to our kitchen. I can say that we put them in the dishwasher, even though it says not to. They have no plastic on them so I figured we would be safe. I have noticed a little bit of rusting discoloration on the steak knives so far, but it is very minimal and I can work with that so they don’t need to be hand-washed.
