100/100 I wish we had practice pads like this when I was a youngster! WOW. THIS is a stellar “toy” for the budding young drummer wannabe. It’s got a really good sound and is quite responsive. The sticks provided are only good for kids or REEEAL beginners. Personally, I’d recommend getting a really good pair of sticks to go with this. YES . . . the stick quality DOES make a difference. The pad has good volume control and several drum set “presets” to mimic various types of drum arrangements and sounds. It also accepts headphones AND an mp3 audio device so you can play along. The power is a rechargeable internal battery . . so you can easily roll this up, throw it into a backpack, and take an entire drum kit anywhere! Ultimately, is it worth the price? YES ... show more

    • A beginner-friendly electronic drum set
I tried another electronic drum set similar to this one and while it was fun to play, it wasn't as well made and seemed as if would stop working after a short while. This one from KJMISE is much more impressive. The materials appear to be of a higher quality and the drum sounds are more realistic. Even the drum sticks are better. Like the other set, this one rolls up so it can be carried and stored conveniently. The pedals are also a nice addition. To use them, it's best to place the drum set on a table so that the pedals can be operated with the feet. The electronic controls are easy to learn and use and it's fun to drum along with the different built-in rhythms. Being able to recharge it with the included USB cable saves batteries and the charge lasts through several sessions. The user manual won't teach you how to play the drums and be the next Buddy Rich, but the instructions are clear enough to help you get the most out of this kit. I had planned to give this drum set to one of our grandsons. But it's been so enjoyable to play, I may have to reconsider! ... show more

This is such a great gift idea. I am so impressed with all of the functions. It's easy to use and take up minimal space. The kids and I have so much fun with this drum pad and it's nice that you can record your own music. Hilariously this drum set came in the "on" position. Every time i moved the box, it would play various drum sounds. I imagine its journey was a funny one. The drum itself sounds pretty generic. I, as an adult, was looking forward to having a small set I could mess with, but it's not really on that level. Kids, yes, but unless they have headphones on, expect to enjoy a lot of practice. ... show more

Truthfully, no one in our family plays instruments these days. These drums were such a fun experience. We stumbled through learning to play and realized that they have many options and can use headphones to keep the rest of the house from enduring the beating. It's an extensive number of options, including recording demos. If you have what might be an aspiring drum player, by all means, this is an excellent entry into the world of drumming. This set is great for beginner drummers and basic music exploration. It's simple to use and the speaker is impressively loud. There are lots of features and kits to choose from. There are also included presets you can drum along to. It has recording capabilities and all parts work as described. I like that you can charge and play or leave it plugged.
