This will accumulate mold in the books & crannies of the lid if you don’t scrub it well! The dishwasher (only for the lid) does not get rid of the mold. You must scrub it! Besides that it’s good. Will leak if you don’t put the lid on tight.

Just got the bottle and I haven’t use it yet, but it’s already dent. The cap doesn’t look like it’s going to seal right because of the gap between the lid’s components.

I love this water bottle. I wanted one that had a straw but that would also be leak proof. Yay! This one works great. Love the handle too. Just a note, if you don't lock the lid fully by turning it all the way the straw can start to release a few drops of water that then dribble down the side when you open the lid.     • Great water bottle except…
The bottle itself is great! Highly insulated and keeps things cold all day. HOWEVER, the lid sucks. The way it twists the straw down seems handy but it still leaks on its side. Also the straw that goes inside connects to a small rubber piece under the lid. This little rubber piece broke after only a few uses rendering the cap completely useless. I bought a replacement lid that just screws on and off. I miss the straw feature but it wasn’t worth it considering it’s durability and leaking. ... show more

    • Great for water, reliably leak free when used correctly
I use it exclusively for water. When the lid is closed completely there's a click and a subtle no drop icon is visible on the lid. When filled with water and closed completely it does not leak. It's easy to fill and easy to clean. I wish the straw were a little longer and that klean kanteen made protective boots to protect the base from dents. ... show more
