Absolutely the easiest process to file a claim and return for repair. Also the fastest repair and return that I have ever experienced. I sent it out UPS on a Sunday and it was received, repaired and returned on Thursday. Not even a full week!!!

  • GET the extended coverage on expensive equipment
grab the ASURION extended protection plan for expensive electronics like laptops, PCs etc. I had a WiFi card go bad on a 4 month old PC for which I had the ASURION plan. I contacted them after troubleshooting as advised. I backed up my data, sent it to them and had the FIXED laptop back in 3 days. Well worth the coverage of the plan. Think about it... without WiFi you can't access any fixes , directions, aids or drivers online. I had to use an external WiFi adapter to correctly determine what the issue was. There is a reason why people say do not buy extra protection plans. I started a claim on my laptop over a month ago. When I sent it in I knew that the BIOS chip was fried, I performed multiple tests on it and confirmed that everything else was ok. They insisted that I had to send the laptop to them so they could check it out (perfectly understandable). 2-3 day after they received the laptop the status of my claim changed to “replacement parts ordered”. The next day it changed to “unit could not be repaired”. No big deal I knew this was probably the case. This is when it all went down the drain. The status stayed this was for a few days. I chatted with representatives several times and the conversations always ended with “a replacement representative will contact you within 24 hours.” This NEVER happened. In the mean time I asked if I could have my broken laptop back, or at least the SSD because I know it was still good and contained all of my information. Some of you may ask why didn’t you wipe it or back it up. As mentioned before the BIOS was bad so it never even got to a boot screen. They said a representative will contact me about that too…again that NEVER happened. The last time I check my status it said “a replacement has been selected and thank you for telling us your preferences”. They never contacted me about my preferences or a replacement. So I go back onto a chat and they said something will be shipped within 2-3 business days……it has been at this status for over 2 weeks. Now fast forward to today. I contact them via chat once again, as my status still has not changed. This time they said I should have been contacted by a representative to select a replacement weeks ago. They told me that one should contact me within 24 hours. I am not counting on it. It has been over a month since the original 2-3 business days. No replacement and no answer about getting my SSD back. ... show more

  • Very useful - over 3 years after purchase!
I purchased a laptop in Dec 2019 as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and got this insurance for it. She is a heavy user, since she is into gaming, and so even though the laptop had the specs for what she was doing - she would routinely cause the laptop to overheat. For a long time, she didn't have a cooling pad to compensate, and it seems that caused the laptop to get damaged. We aren't really sure what all got damaged, but we are reasonably certain that her gaming and overuse is what led to the damage, and eventually she would be gaming and it would just blue screen on her. We started talking about getting her a new system - but then realized that anything new would have the same specs as what she already had. Which is when I realized we had this insurance still covering the laptop. We filed the claim. We were shocked at how quickly the box was sent to us. We completed the paperwork for it, sent the laptop in, and had no expectations regarding how things would go. We were prepared for anything - to get a refurb back, or whatever. Within a few days her laptop was back with a note saying it had been fixed. In the meantime, I was kept up to date with emails and texts, telling me what was happening all the way along - I was impressed by the level of communication throughout the claim process. Once it came back, it had been reset, and it was not entirely clear what all had been done, but since we had been prepared for anything - all of her files had been backed up, so all she had to do was get herself set up again, and GO. We were delighted! And it has been working like a charm ever since ....... VERY HAPPY. And really impressed by the speed and communication throughout the process. Just wish they would have told us what they did to fix it - that is the only thing we would have for improvement. ... show more

  • Thank God for This Warranty!!
I purchased my daughter a MacBook to use in college when she first graduated high-school 2.5 yrs. ago, and this warranty has been an absolute life-saver!! Honestly, purchasing it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The screen has broken on it at least 3x so far, as well as, the battery being replaced.. and every time I’m amazed at how easy the repair process actually is. The only down-fall is having to ship the product out to be fixed (rather than being able to go somewhere local) but they next-day priority ship a box to send it out in, and within a couple of days it’s back on my porch fixed. So it really doesn’t take that much longer. I’ve filed a claim at least 4-5 times since purchasing it (all for the same product) and I’ve never paid a single penny throughout any of it, at any point. Now just recently, it needed to be repaired yet AGAIN except this time I was told that it couldn’t be repaired and that instead I would be credited the price I paid for the MacBook. I expected to have to fill out a bunch of papers and jump through hoops to get the credit, but nope. Within 24 hours I had an Amazon gift card in my email inbox for the full amount I paid for the MacBook 2.5yrs ago and my daughter’s new one I ordered her with it just came today. This warranty was beyond worth it for me.. and I will make sure I get it every chance I can going forward in the future with anything I care about maintaining!! ... show more
