Always used and trusted Meguiar's for over 30 years. Used it on show cars. Never disappointed. Was looking at their car wax to find the prices shot up. Thought I'd try the ceramic. The good and bad. The good news is after 6 months of sitting outside water still beads and car shines like the day I applied it. Ceramic is easy to apply. Make sure it is out of the sun or a good cloudy day. Apply one panel at a time. Fender, door, half the hood or roof. There i a timing required between application and wipe off. Apply to the fender. Wait about 1 minute and check to make sure you didn't miss any spots. Apply to the door. Go back and wipe off the fender. Easy as that. Always use clean rags. I started out by trying a tack rag to remove dust but saw tack rags leave a bit of residue behind. Switched to just a clean rag for final dusting. I bought the car used and suspect there is already a ceramic coating in it locking in fine scratches. I tried the buffer with the fine black pad on the trunk. Polish was getting spattered everywhere. Switched to had rub and remove with a cloth. Wish I had the old number 7 Seal and Reseal. Used that on my black Challenger for car shows and I know that fills in the smallest scratches. I went with No 3 by hand. I watched videos with clay bars and stuff. All you need to do is remove all the dust withing seconds of applying the ceramic. A clean rag will do that. No dust in my ceramic but still have the super fine scratches. Problem with new cars is there is 1 coat of clear. I know because I went through it in 1 spot trying to take out a scratch by hand. What a pain. Used to custom paint cars. Used 4 coats off clear. 1 coat to wet sand and buff. Never went through the other 3 coats after years of hand cleaning and a 2nd and 3rd buffing. Meguiar's wax is better for filling in those minor scratches but you do not want to apply ceramic over wax. It defeats the purpose. 1 year update. It has been about 14 months and I noticed sections of the car are no longer beading water. The car is out in the elements everyday. The middle of the hood, roof, and top of the trunk broke down. Still looks as good as the day I applied it during the eclipse past year. It does last longer than 1 year. ... show more

Ok so little back info. I have a 2022 ram 1500 bighorn. i bought it back in 10/25. the first weekend after i bought it i detailed it and buffed and waxed with mothers. so ya it a newer truck and i been keeping it up. i wash it once a week too. i just washed the truck today in the 60s with there ceramic wash and wax combo. I decided to go ahead and use buffing machine to put this on then microfiber towel to take off. This smells as good as there soap does. unlike other wax this goes on so easy and you have plenty of time to work it in and move it around. i was surprised at how easy it was to rub off with microfiber towel, way easier than normal wax even after 10 mins of being on. super easy to clean. one thing to note is please take your time cleaning it before using this cause it will highlight dirt and marks and things. I think this works better than normal wax. its def worth the money. my truck looks like a mirror and so smooth. i was not even tired after having to rub the whole thing down unlike with other wax. now i just hope it last longer than normal wax but only time will tell. ... show more

This wax has to be the easiest I've ever put on a vehicle. I used a orbital buffer on low speed and it was a super easy application and very easy to remove with a microfiber towel. I used very little wax for my full size Ram truck and after I washed the truck a week later, the water was super easy to remove with paint feeling like glass.     • Good Ceramic Hybrid Wax But Was Expecting Much More From The Ceramic Part

I kept hearing about how ceramic waxes are the best, newest, latest and greatest thing in car detailing that I decided to give this ceramic hybrid wax a try because it had good reviews and not just on Amazon. I'm pleased with the wax overall but I can't tell any difference in the finish between this ceramic hybrid compared to my tried and true go to old school wax for over 30 years - Malco's Flash Wax (Cherry or Banana) Maybe I was expecting way too much from a ceramic hybrid wax based on all the rave reviews of ceramic waxes. But the finish wasn't any glossier or smoother than my Malco's Flash Wax. In fact, I think the Flash Wax actually has better staying power in keeping my car feeling smoother and slicker for longer periods of time than Meguiar's Ceramic Hybrid Wax. Just like my Flash Wax, Meguiar's is easy to apply (I use two professional buffers with multiple grit pads) and easy to come off which I think is the most important thing in a car wax. I hate wax that is difficult to work with and especially difficult to take off. Personal preference, I avoid any type of full paste waxes because in my experience they're always hard to work with. And besides, I'm not detailing my cars and showing them at car shows - I'm just your average guy that takes extreme pride in detailing my cars and keeping my cars clean as a whistle. All in all, this Meguiar's Ceramic Hyrbid Wax is a good wax that if someone got this for me as a gift I'd be happy and I'd get good use out of it. But I do think there are better waxes (cough, cough, Malco's Flash Wax) in the same price range or cheaper. ... show more

It just makes paint look great and makes car cleaning easy. After initial wax the neighbors were loving the shine and reflection coming off it. Prep I recommend you make sure you are starting with a very clean car. Any impurities left behind (water spots, pollution, etc) this will probably end up highlighting. I noticed Water spots on the front roof when drying (glass roof, with this being the tiny painted metal part). They didn't stick out but once I applied the wax it made them stick out like a sore thumb. Wasn't big deal. Wet wash cloth, wipe, dry, do again. Application It's very easy to use. First time applying I used a bit too much force trying to get a thin layer. It ended up patchy looking but boy could tell where the product was and wasn't. I recommend you very lightly spread the product as a thin layer. There is basically no force needed to apply. Removal Removal was fairly easy but not effortless. It isn't super hard to remove you just have to make sure you buff it with a microfiber cloth and throughly. If you don't you will end up with a rainbow streak. A damp washcloth and some re-apply of the wax will fix it though. Result It really brings out the paint. My hood was basically a mirror now where I could clearly watch a plane flying overhead. Water beads nicely. It used to sit on the paint in the garage after rain but now it just falls off most of the car. What doesn't I just spray with hose and then hit with the ceramic detailer. Issues: It needs to cure for hours. Like 24 hours at least. Don't let it get wet before that or it will wash off. Also don't touch the paint. My kid thought it would be fun to run around circles of the car while dragging her hand after I was finished because it looked pretty. She rubbed it right off and I had a mid-band you could clearly see where that happened. The manufacturer really should have on the bottle about the long full cure times. ... show more

This Meguir’s wax is a good wax. It leaves your vehicle looking shiny and slick. It apply easily , dries quickly, and buffs off effortlessly. It has a pleasant scent. I only gave three stars because the slick finish wears off rather quickly, especially if your vehicle is parked out in the weather. I expected more from a ceramic wax. ... show more
