  • Easy to use, Beads like crazy, looks great!
Style: Liquid Wax
Meguiars have listened to the market and released the liquid version of their popular (and controversial) Hybrid Ceramic Wax. This time you use it in the traditional way. Wash your car, remove contaminants if needed, polish if needed, and apply this. They also claim you can top this over another sealant or wax, but I'd recommend to apply to clean paint. Application: You need maybe about 3 dime sized dots on an applicator pad, this seems to be enough for an entire panel. You can apply in either circular or hash, it really doesn't matter. I applied it circular. It goes on smooth and easy. But not quite as easy as something like Collinite 845, but it's no issue. I did one panel, moved onto the next, then started removing the previous panel. Removal: This is where it gets a little interesting, this does not haze like other waxes or sealants. It actually dries about 80% clear. I'd knock a half star off because on my silver impreza, it was extremely hard to see where I have applied! This is probably why they suggest you do one panel at a time and not the entire vehicle. It might not be an issue on darker colors so YRMV. Otherwise, the actual removal with a microfiber is one of the easiest on the market. Performance: The water beading is great, I would say it's 90% close to something like Fusso Coat which is legendary for it's water repelling ability. For those wondering why care about water beading, it's just an easy INDICATOR to see if there is still product on the paint over time. It also makes it easier to dry as the surface tension is higher. Also I suppose this is more theoretical, but a higher surface tension means higher ability to deflect dirt and grime. Durability: Can't comment on this since it's only been applied for a couple of days. Meguiars on their forum also does suggest a 24 hour cure before getting it wet or washing it. And I'm not a fan of the chemical tests as it's not a real world indicator of durability to me. But if this is the same as the blue HCW spray version, it should get a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months of solid performance. Visual: The Gloss is amazing, it bumped up my already polished impreza just up another notch. Of course you would think it's just Placebo as I told myself the same thing. But at least to my eyes it seems glossier. Maintenance: This is also where it gets interesting, so Meguiars have another product called Ceramic Detailer you can use in between washes and boost the performance to extend it. OR you can use the original blue spray and rinse HCW. Going that method I think will make this last for more than 6 months since that's pretty much like re-applying full strength again. At that point it's going to be hard to tell when the original base layer of this Ceramic wax would have failed. Conclusion: All in all I'm very happy with this. It's enjoyable to work with, looks and performs great. I'm only knocking off a half star because it doesn't haze after application. The price seemed high at first until you start looking at other liquid ceramic waxes on the market. It's either the same or under those, so the value is there if that's what you're looking for. ... show more

  • Easy, Shiny, Long Lasting
Style: Liquid Wax
This ceramic product is different than other liquid and paste products I have used. Per directions a thin coat is applied one section at a time. Then wiped off before moving to the next section as it dries quickly this wasn’t a problem. It doesn’t form a haze like other products. It was easy to apply and remove leaving a super shiny finish. Now 3 weeks later and needing a wash, the shine still ones through. This is a terrific product. ... show more

  • Easy on, easy off & long lasting
Style: Liquid Wax
I’ve been waxing vehicles for nearly 60 years; starting with waxing my parents vehicles. I’ve used many types of waxes to include standard paste wax, carnauba wax, hybrid ceramic and the latest trend - graphene wax. I’ve tried these waxes in many different brands just to find the best. I say all this, just to share my experience with you in the hopes of saving you some money. I find Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax to be the best in several different ways. First, it has a very pleasant smell if that matters to you. Second, no wax goes on easier. And, perhaps even more important, it’s the easiest wax I’ve ever used to remove. Third, you can apply the wax to your plastic parts, such as your plastic or rubber trim, plastic or rubber bumpers, etc. not only will it not turn them white, but it protects them. Finally, it lasts about six months or more, depending on whether your vehicle is garage kept and how much you wash it ... show more

  • nice gloss, so so smell
Style: Liquid Wax
I like this for it’s ease of use and reciprocating, great gloss. I would say the only reason I didn’t a set of give Five stars is I’m not wild about the smell, but it’s only an odor while you’re putting it on, not afterwards. Goes on great with just a small microfiber applicator, buffed up easily with a microfiber towel. ... show more

  • Made my car look GREAT!
Style: Liquid Wax
This stuff is awesome. I tried some Chemical Guys' Hydro Slick (after claying the paint) prior to this and did it by hand and you could see the application marks where I applied the Hydro Slick. Despite the car always having been garaged, after about a week I couldn't stand the application marks anymore so I then used some Meguiar's Cleaner Wax and bought a buffer to remove the application marks, then applied this Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax -- and suddenly I could see the metal flakes in the paint really pop! When I used the Hydro Slick, that didn't happen (I have a 2013 Subaru Legacy Limited with 50K miles). Maybe it was because I applied it by hand and without a buffer but I think it is due to the quality of the Mequiar's. Thirty years ago I owned a very successful car detailing business so I think I'm a good judge of materials since I've detailed many hundreds if not thousands of cars (I don't have any of my equipment left which is why I decided to buy a buffer). This stuff is cheaper than the Hydro Slick and does an amazing job! The metal flakes really shine through now and it now has that wet appearance that everybody likes. I seriously doubt that a $1,500 Ceramic coating from a detailing company could make it look any better. The car is 11 years old and when I drove by my neighbor he said "Did you buy a new car?". Just be sure to apply this with a buffer. The fact that I could see application marks could be a function of the ceramic nature of the coating and not anything in particular with the Chemical Guys' Hydro Slick (so those still might appear if you applied this Meguiar's by hand). Still, the wet appearance and the appearance of the metal flakes just wasn't there with the Hydro Slick like it is with this Meguiar's. I rarely leave reviews but decided to this time because of the great results. ... show more
