    • Fun toy, but battery holder needs work

Bought this as a gift for our 10-year-old grandson. The car itself was very sturdy and fun to play with. However, there were problems with the remote as the thumb buttons kept coming off. One had fallen off when we took it out of the box. I think a little superglue would probably take care of the problem. The battery compartment was the other issue. Since the batteries only last about 15-20 minutes you have to exchange them frequently. The compartment door has a screw, so you need a screwdriver every time you need to change them. And the other problem with the battery compartment is the wire that connects to the battery is very short which makes it difficult to exchange the battery. For adults it's really hard to get the fingers in the compartment to make the switch. I suspect for kids it's much easier. Lengthen the wires in the battery compartment and replace the screw with something easier to use and I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

First off, this thing was pretty impressive from the sheer amount of torque and speed it managed to dish out with a small single 14400. This little thing ZIPPED across the park thinking it's a DJI mini 3 with wings. impressive battery life as well. Cons: did not withstand the test of time as it's not very well built. The battery compartment.... SMFH!! Whoever designed that needs a kick in the crotch! The little clip broke off after a while having me look for the same thing by having to retrace its route. After 2-weeks, it looked like it went to the moon and back. My son and I didn't misuse it, we did to it on what was advertised to do. Pros: They have the motor and batteries down packed as once again the thing was responsive and moved! if only they made it more durable with a slightly larger battery compartment to fit an 18650 for more mAh. Now we bought an RC car that takes 5 18650s, is HUGE but as far as speed and controls, this little thing still had more balls for the 10th of the price. Want to have fun but not for that long? PERFECT item lol. I would purchase again! ... show more

I purchased three of these for my son, wife and I to enjoy as an activity since I am disabled. It started out great but within a few outing the controllers started falling apart. Then one of the wheels came completely off of the car while driving it in our driveway. Very disappointed in this products durability but I cannot justify buying more of them. ... show more

I got 2 of these for my nephews. They can be tough on their toys so I didn't have high expectations for these cars. I was very surprised! They had them out in the yard, driving through the garden, going off jumps, and climbing around firewood. They can easily take a tumble from a 2 feet and keep on going. The kids played with them for about an hour and still have battery power. These are meant for crazy driving. If you're looking for something with a lot of control, this isn't it. The cars come with an extra battery which is great. You can keep a back up ready to go. They also come with their own screwdriver to open the battery compartment. I feel like this is an added bonus because it's always nice to have an extra one stashed in the junk drawer. The only improvement I could suggest is making the tires more secure or selling extra tires. One of the kids popped his off the wheel, likely while carrying it. I can see these getting lost somehow.
