My nine-year-old grandson tried this Kkdi Kids Snorkel Mask in the bathtub since the pool water is below 65°F. His impression was that He liked the full face. Breathing is easy in and out of the water. The snorkel is too short and keeping it above the water is difficult because it stays at a fixed angle. The mask stayed clear. If water got in the mask, he didn’t notice it. The straps were tough to pull tight. Since he could not tighten them, I had to for him, but doing so took so much force that it jerked his body. My take on the mask: It is definitely different from other, more traditional diving masks and has an interesting appearance. The straps are quite different as they are very thick and made of an elastic material that is more commonly used in the textile industry, and I don’t know how that will stand up to the Sun and chlorine. We have a saltwater pool, and I wonder how the salt will affect it. We will make sure to rinse it with fresh water after each use. I put the mask on, and while my adult head was too big to get a seal, I noticed that the field of view wasn’t that much different than my traditional dive mask. Included with the Snorkel Mask is a pair of child-sized earplugs. This is great because kids can get swimmer’s ear so easily, especially if they are prone to ear infections. The clear bag that the mask comes in makes a nice storage bag but lacks a means of ventilation, so make sure the mask is dry before zipping it closed. Conclusion: Kids are sure to love this unique Snorkel Mask. I didn’t know if our grandson would like it, but as soon as he saw it, he said, “That’s cool!” I’m sure it will get plenty of use this summer since he spends the whole summer with us and swims daily. I see no reason to give this less than a four-star review. I am removing one star because the straps are tough to tighten and the short snorkel. ... show more

My wife has trouble with traditional snorkel masks that just have the mouth tube and eye goggles so we picked up some of these full face snorkels on a friend's recommendation. They are so awesome. They form a nice tight seal around your face and allow for glass bottom boat style underwater viewing. Great for just playing in the pool and of course snorkeling trips. One of the great things is that you can confidently dive without fear of water penetrating the breathing tube. There is a float ball that completely blocks any water, so you can dive down and simply resume breathing once you resurface, all without lifting your face out of the water. Ok, on to this particular snorkel. The ones my wife and I use are full adult sized, so the kids were still using the old style. This little dolphin mask is the perfect solution! It is kid sized and cute and works as great as the full sized ones. My 10 yr. old loves it!! We were night swimming last night with these on and it was tons o' fun! I highly recommend. ... show more

I bought a few of these a couple of years ago and we had been sharing because I didn't get one for each person. I think this is an upgrade to the ones I bought a couple of years ago. First, they used food grade silicone in making this mask. Also, it has a drain valve to drain water without taking off the mask. Last, it has separate channels for air to inhale and exhaled air. This is supposed to make breathing feel more comfortable and it sends exhaled air around the edges of the mask to prevent it from fogging up the mask. This is awesome. Definite upgrades. You still have to watch kids closely to be sure they aren't using them UNDER water for more than a few seconds at a time. Fresh air needs to come in from the top. It's fine if a wave crashes over your head, but remember these are for snorkeling, not diving, fresh air needs to come in from the top of the snorkel, just like a regular snorkel. ... show more

This is one of the cutest water accessories that you can get for your kid! I am a certified scuba diver, and as much as I have grown up and accustomed to just using the standard mask. I went out and bought a full face mask like this for myself, and it was a game changer for me. Now my 10 year old daughter also wanted one, and this is perfect! Even the small Adult sizes were a bit to big for my daughter, and she really needed a kids version. The fact that this has the resemblance of a shark is even better for her when she is with her friends. The integrated snorkel tube makes it so that she cannot accidently inhale water when breathing if a wave overtakes her, or she dives down a little to far. Plus, if water were to get into the snorkel, there is a full face mask of where the water would go before she would have to worry about breathing it in. I think these full face masks are the future, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more advancements in them as people start to adopt them more and more. ... show more

Out family really loves full face snorkel masks! We were really excited to see this child size mask for our kiddo! These masks are so easy to use you simply put the mask on, cinch it down tight and breath normally through either your nose or mouth. No more having to teach the kiddo to only breath through their mouth when snorkeling! This mask has a very good seal, which is very important so as not to get leaks around the edges! This mask fits tight for adults and was designed for kids to fit comfortably. The straps help to keep the mask in place and create a good seal around the face and are adjustable. Works well and the wide view is excellent, definitely fun to use. Recommended for small kids due to the size, I would say 6 to 10 years old to be able to wear the mask comfortably.
