This review is written after trying it out for a week. My home does not have a dishwasher, and we cook A LOT. I've had trouble finding a dish rack that can: - Hold all the dishes I need it to, including large pots and pans. - Not get covered in mildew almost immediately. - Not rust almost immediately. - Fit in the space I need it to. - Fit my budget. So far, this dish rack has checked all those boxes for me, and the teal color is so cute besides. Exactly my kind of thing. I'll update if it gets rusty or breaks sooner than it should, but so far, this is the best dish rack I've had in YEARS. This dish rack is interesting; the rack itself has a matte black finish, and the rest is plastic. I love the knife holder/ utensil holder. Lightweight but seems to be of sturdy material. The extension part does not have a metal grate to hold plates or bowls, just a side note. There is no way for you to turn it around if you want the utensil and the cup holder to switch spots, with the drainage spout on the shorter end of the rack. The extension is a little hard to move at times, but overall there is a slope to it where the water does drain out from both parts of the rack. ... show more

    • solid product..compact yet substantial...

so far i`m very satisfied...really helps organize...looks neat...stable and balanced....the second tier is perfectly configured(not too high...not too low)...one thing i noticed but have reconciled...the silverware containers had a slight"back wash"in the back(there are slots in the front for water to dissipate)...i put two small rubber pads under the legs where it is(to tilt the grade slightly) and it solved the issue... i would put a rubber mat underneath but it may not be necessary(who knows how long the snap on drain will hold)....and to be fair,i literally poured water into the silverware container to test it so that will never see that volume of water...and the drain spout?...works well but i wrapped a piece of silicone tape around the end to make sure no water runs back up the bottom/unerneath of the spout(i`ve seen water do incredible things).. so far i really like it... haven`t cleaned it....and it`s not cheap but so far,i`d say i`d buy it again...pretty well tooled...you can find all kinds of ways to use the upper tier... ... show more

Perfect Purchase This thing does exactly what it says it does, and then some. 1. This dish rack holds an enormous amount of dishes, including pots and pans. The extender shelf gives you a ton of extra flat space to lay pans. 2. The little things work properly. Like the extended tray slides in and out easily it doesn’t stick and it slides smoothly. 3. I love the wood knife holder; it holds my knives sturdy and safely. It’s also nice knowing, I don’t have them lying around with exposed blades on a towel (how we used to do it). 4. It truly drains and dries completely. It’s never wet everywhere. It seems like other racks still leave water everywhere, but not this one. This is a great dish drying rack. I love that it’s expandable depending on if I have a lot or just a few things to wash. The only thing I think could be improved is the spout on the bottom that routes the water runoff out of the tray, which is a great idea. It was a bit difficult to attach to the bottom of the tray and it empties right at counter level. To me, it needs a bit of an elbow so it can be more easily installed, and it needs a bit more clearance at the bottom so it clears the lip of my sink better, or so I can put a plate or bowl underneath the spout when I have it positioned to not route the water to the sink. (If you have an undermount sink and keep the rack in the same position on the counter relative to the sink position whether it’s expanded or not, you won’t have any problem once you get the spout fastened to the bottom of the tray.) Despite that small inconvenience, I am happy I chose this product and recommend it. ... show more
