  • This is the best one I have tried.
Style: Pasta Roller Only
I tried the Gvode and this roller easily out performs it. I am absolutely happy with it. Starting with the proper dough is a big part of success here. I followed Emeral’s recipient for semolina pasta dough; 2 1/2 cups (course) semolina flour, four large eggs, salt: mix, kneed, let rest wrapped for 1/2 hour . It will be a bit stiff. Smash it out to 3/8 or 1/4 inches thick before running it through at the first setting. I run it through and double it up and run it again a few times until it’s a homogenous, neat sheet. Then I’ll run it through at each more narrow setting until I have the thickness I need for each type of pasta I’m making. For tortellini or ravioli, I take it to the thinnest setting. You can see through it. It’s plenty strong too, as long as the starting dough is right. But beware, as each setting rolls it thinner, it gets longer. I cut the strip into manageable lengths as it grows. The coarse semolina flour works well. My pasta has a rich yellow color as well as making smooth and strong sheet. The resulting pasta grips sauces a bit better. Using a drier dough leaves almost NO mess in the machine. I have yet to have to clean it. The roller has a built in plastic part that is designed to break if something like a todler’s hand get pulled into it. It snaps to prevent making a 30 foot-long toddler noodle. Kitchen aid doesn’t sell the replacement part but someone reverse engineered it and it’s available for sale online. It’s a bit costly, but better than having to just throw the roller away. If I have any complaint about this product at all, it would be that kitchen aid would make this failsafe feature more known in its literature, as well as making the replacement part more available at say, $5 per. At this point people are simply tossing the broken rollers out or buying new ones. Seems like and easy oversight to fix. Anyway, a happy camper here. It’s absolutly easy to use ( if you have some experience rolling pasta to start with) and makes ravioli making fast ( if you have one of those pattern press thingys). It’s kinda fun, too. I hum Italian restaurant songs and play up the wee bit of Italian blood I have to the max... while drinking red wine. Thank you, ancestors, for all of this ! ... show more

  • Satisfied with purchase
Style: Pasta Roller Only
Dreamed a long time of this pasta roller attachment for my stand mixer and I'm very happy with it. The attachment is easy to attach to the mixer and it comes with a variety of thickness settings, so you can roll out the dough to your desired thickness. The roller itself is made of high-quality stainless steel (Made in Italy) and it's easy to clean. One of the things I like most about this attachment is that it allows me to make fresh pasta, lasagna and ravioli at home. The dough turns out perfectly every time and the finished pasta is delicious. It's a bit time-consuming to make the dough and roll it out, but it's worth it for the taste and satisfaction of making your own dish. Overall, I think the pasta roller attachment is a great addition to any kitchen. It's well-made, easy to use, and produces excellent results. If you enjoy making pasta at home, I highly recommend giving this attachment a try. ... show more

  • Not just for pasta making!
Style: Pasta Roller Only
I love, love this item! Easy to use and clean. I have arthritis and using a rolling pin has become painful. My sister receive this as a gift and never used it. I said let’s use it with our pierogie dough. I fed the dough through the press and it is perfect!! I have ordered this pasta roller for family and friends. It is well made and durable. Clean up is easy and all you do is brush off the roller when finished, so clean up is easy. It’s a time saver and it dramatically cuts down on the pain in my hands!! I absolutely would recommend this product! ... show more

  • Easy and fun to use
Style: Pasta Roller Only
The media could not be loaded. I used the attachment to make ravioli dough. Once you get the hang of it, it's fast and super satisfying to watch the dough roll out, and much easier that rolling it by hand (I had tried that once and bought the attachment afterwards). Rolling the sheet out requires some practice and if you see the dough jam and rip, you need to fold it again and run at larger width setting. The product was easy to clean, but do read the instructions. Few other notes: the pasta dough recipe included in the instructions is completely off, the amount of liquid to flour is too low and leaves you with crumbs that don't even come together. I had to add water and 2 more eggs until the dough started to form and then it was too firm for the machine to handle. So don't follow that dough recipe and better check online. One source I found recommended 100 g flour / 1 egg ratio, but I haven't tried that yet. ... show more

Style: Pasta Roller Only
My old one had pieces that were plastic that had cracked. There was no way to fix it, so I had to get a new one. I was pretty upset, but the new one is GREAT and works so much better.
