My thumb can testify the knives are sharp. Unboxing the knives the large chef knife slid out of the paper sleeve, more on that later, cut through the plastic sleeve and cut my thumb. So be careful, the finger guards I bought last week will come in handy. The knives come on paper sleeves inside a plastic wrapper. Handle with care when unboxing them. Keep away from children!!!! The knives do have plastic point protectors but that doesn’t help protect the blade. I will not use the block since wood blocks are unsanitary. This set is replacing 2 older sets Oster and Kitchen Aid. Besides needing sharpening I just felt time for new. Only 4stats because I have not used or washed yet. No dishwasher besides left and right so can’t test that. ... show more

It’s a cheap knife that does a decent job cutting. If they charged a little bit more and invested just a little bit more in the handle to make it feel better, grip better and feel more solid this would be a 5 star knife. For a cheap knife it is good for the price.
