Love this soap. I've used it for many years for dry sensitive skin and am delighted to be able to get it again after a couple years off the market. It remains my favorite after trying other, including more expensive, olive oil soaps in the interim. It rinses off cleanly and does not dry my skin or leave a residue. It has minimal ingredients and I appreciate that it comes with minimal packaging, no plastic, just a cardboard box with three unwrapped bars inside. Bar size is perfect for handling in sink or shower. Some people object to the smell, but I really like it - just seems like an honest soap smell which I would characterize as woodsy. Scent does not linger so mostly aware of it only when washing. I always study reviews before making a purchase, but I've had this soap before so figured I didn't need to look at reviews and just ordered. While waiting for my package to arrive, I did end up reading the reviews about how this soap smells like smoke. I was thinking people were just being overdramatic and whiney. Soap got in today and it did smell super funky. Not unscented, more like unpleasant. I did use it and it did make my skin as soft as I remembered and the smell does fade quickly but it's definitely not a pleasant or enjoyable experience, especially because I bought this soap as a treat yoself thing. Haven't decided if I'm gonna keep using it till it's gone, but no way I will purchase this again. Another scent, maybe. But this - hard pass. It's only kind of redeeming quality is it is moisturizing. **Update** I've been using this soap for about a month. My skin LOVES it and I've gotten used to the scent - it doesn't bother me anymore. This olive oil bar soap is amazing. I initially purchased it because of my son's ezcema. Nothing else seemed to clear it up except this. It's gentle and leaves his skin soft. I have since started using it on my face as a face wash and it is amazing. It doesn't smell great, but it's olive oil - when did olive oil ever smell good? I actually apprecitate that the soap doesn't have any artificial or added scents. After a while in the shower (because one bar lasts us months!), it does start to develop a "gooey" bottom from sitting on the soap shelf. It gets wet from the shower and doesn't get to "breathe." It doesn't bother me at all, though. I simply use the gooey part of the soap first to wash my face. It also makes for a nice lather on a washcloth for my son's bath, too. I'm sure a raised soap holder would solve this problem. All in all, I never plan to buy any other soap. I love that it's all natural (only three ingredients?!? count me in!), isn't scented, and leaves our skin feeling soft and clean! ... show more

This soap feels so incredibly moisturizing, I love it! I was looking for a soap specifically without sodium laurethyl sulfate because I'm slightly allergic to it and I've been having some skin irritation down below that I'm trying to fix. The soaps look nice and they're a good price. I appreciate that they're also fragrance free because there can often be a lot of chemicals in fragrance. The smell isn't amazing but I'll take it over the benefits of less chemicals and very moisturizing. ... show more

and a clean clean without extra fragrance. This formula's olive oil smell is less noticeable than that of the imported Marseilles soaps I used to buy, though the impressive Marseilles stamps and cube forms are also missing! Still these are a great value, flawlessly cleaning hair, dishes, glassy-finish appliances, and white kitchen counters!
