  • Definitely for teens
Color: Study Room
I got this for a granddaughter and did not see the age recommendation of 14 and up. It was definitely too complex for younger child, but we did work together to get it done. You will need a couple tubes of super glue for this. There is a lot of cutting out and folding of very small things as well. I like that they were a couple of extras in case you mess up with the tiny cuts. We couldn’t get the books to stay in the bookcase on their own, so we ended up going almost everything in place. The dust cover was hard to put together. I could not get it to stay together with superglue so I ended up using hot glue, but it looks messy. Despite the amount of work it took, my granddaughter was very happy with the outcome and even made an extra little pillow. She wants to get more rooms on her future birthdays so it was a win ... show more

  • Cute cat room!
Color: Pet Room
I LOVEEEEE this cat room! I bought this for my daughter. Well, for me to make it and gift it to her. Lol. The instructions can be unclear for someone who’s never done these type of crafts. But this is my fourth room that I’ve made, so it wasn’t so bad. It’s so cute! The quality is great! No missing pieces. I wouldn’t recommend this for smaller children to be honest. ... show more

  • Look past the imperfections and rely on your patience ... you're going to need it!
Color: Cloak Room
I bought this kit to give a Sylvanian grab bag baby a place to sit. I think it suits her. 🐰💖 The kit comes with everything that you need except glue and batteries. They give you very little on some things and extra on others. For glue, I used Aileens clear gel tacky glue and mod podge. I think the tacky glue worked well, but you do have to hold things in place for it to dry. It's easy to move back to place if you accidentally move it around too much at the start. The mod podge I used for the paper stuff as it adheres pretty well (just don't use a foam brush because you will get bubbles). The items were easy enough to figure out. I didn't watch the video or download the qr code as I just prefer not to. But, I did look at the directions, lay every thing out one section at a time, and take my time. I worked one section at a time - one because it helped me not to rush as much and it helped to get things that needed glue to dry before moving on. Believe it or not, the scissors actually cut and do a good job. I should have at least gotten my fabric shears and maybe a few straight pins to help make things look better. But, eh, I made due. I don't really know what the screwdriver is for, but I used it to poke a hole where the lights go. I didn't use the razor except to score the paper on the dust shield. It left score marks so don't do that if you have a better way to get the craft paper off. I don't really know if the dust shield is going to stay together as it's not really set up for success just using what came with the kit. I'm currently waiting for the glue to dry. 😁 If you don't read anything else, read these tips: 1. Take your time. I have no patience, but I really took more time than I normally would and didn't rush (plus the glue really had to dry in order to move forward). 2. Speaking of glue, you will use quite a bit. I think if you are handy and sew, there are a few instances I might have used a stitch in the fabric items instead of glue. But, I wanted to use the kit as is since I had never made a miniature before. 3. Also glue related - gravity will work against you, so turn your project when you need to and take advantage of gravity. 4. If you are a perfectionist, you will want fabric shears and paper shears so that your cuts are perfect. But, also, these are tiny pieces you are working with so the scissors provided might be adequate enough. As long as you don't let the imperfections bother you, this is a fun project. I think I only cussed one time and that was when I went to pick up a bead with the tweezers and it went flying. 🙃 ... show more

  • Not for beginners, a little stressful, tiny pieces
Color: Pet Room
I saw this product and thought that is so adorable. Not realizing what I was getting myself into I quickly purchased it. There is no super glue or batteries. The instructions are easy to read but that isn’t the problem. The pieces are very tiny. So big hands and lack of experience make this project a complex one. The hardest pieces to build or create are the tent sticks(gluing the wraps around), attaching the bridge to condo boxes, the rope on the scratch posts, and the kitty bassinet top. The fabrics are mostly flimsy and can make cutting with the included scissors a challenge. You have to hand cut and glue everything. Half way through I gladly accepted it wasn’t going to look exactly like the picture. It says on the advertisement stress relieving but honestly it’s not. If you have OCD or anxiety I do not recommend. Not for kids or people lacking patience. I’m also concerned about putting figures or toys on it. After I finished some pieces of the kit remained tacky even after I wiped away the excess super glue. Cute set but honestly after building this set I know I won’t be buying anymore. ... show more

  • Clean design, relaxing, and pretty!
Color: Rainbow House
Pretty, clean design, relaxing. I enjoyed doing this. You do have to cut out a lot of things and supply your own glue, but they provide a ruler, box cutter, screwdriver and other items.

  • Don’t like it
Color: Pet Room
This came in a nondescript box and had a lot of small pieces. Instructions are not great. I thought my daughter would be more into it, but she lost interest very quickly. A little too complicated for a preteen
