My son is 17 months old and normally flips over all his dinner trays. This one sticks really well and he can’t so we appreciate that, haha. Not to mention the little owl is soo cute and it’s easy to clean. Perfect size for toddler meals. The one thing I will mention negative is if you wash it in the dishwasher it does get a white film on it, maybe doesn’t happen for everyone so maybe it’s the hard water where I live or my dish soap but I find that it’s better to just hand wash. ... show more

So... this plate didn’t have a good suction for us at all. I have tried suctioning it dry and wet and it just doesn’t stick well at all. I don’t know if we maybe got a defective one because I see such good reviews! But as you can see, my baby just throws it over her head when she feels like she’s done. Lol. The plate itself, besides the suction, is great though. Easy to clean, microwave/dishwasher safe, great portions, and super cute. Just wish the suction worked for us. ... show more

I have a set of suction mats that I love but I needed more and thought my kiddo would appreciate a different animal and thought the owl was cute. The plate is sturdy and heavy, washes well, however it sticks about 25% of the time on kiddo's plastic seat tray, she also has learned how to peel it up (she's 12 months). This just isn't going to cut it for us right now and I went back and purchased another set of the mats with the individual suction spots which are 100x better. UPDATE: The suction was poor on the white plastic of my high chair but works great on our table. So, it doesn’t work on the surface I’d be using the majority of the time but it’s not totally worthless. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’m torn! It’s so cute and should be functional... but the suction is so poor... and since that’s the whole point then I can’t really recommend it. Maybe I’m missing the method on how to make the suction more stable? If so please manufacturer contact me because I want to love this product! ... show more

My 11 month old recently starting swiping most of her food off of her tray and onto the floor during meals. We’ve been using this owl tray for about a week now and it makes such a difference.     • Sticks well to clean surfaces. Heavier than most = harder to move

Firstly, this seems to have the best suction we've experienced. The ring on the bottom seems to work like a barnacle so although it's not moving a lot of air, it's over a wide surface area. If I stick it to the high chair tray and try to lift it straight up, the removable tray surface would be lifted off before the plate would become unstuck. The caveat here is, the surface needs to be clean before you place it down. If you've got some crumbs or something then it'll not stick at all. The silicone is actually quite heavy too so it's harder to remove from the surface. The sides are a nice height to allow for spoons/forks being pushed against them and the food not spilling over. The overall size of the main area is good for meals and the 2 separate "eyes" works great for a little sauce or keeping components apart. I'd happily buy again and would recommend it. ... show more

I absolutely love the owl plate I purchased for my granddaughter for Christmas. I can’t wait to give it to her! It’s much heavier weight than I thought it would be which is a GOOD thing and a great size - big enough that she will be able to use it for as long as she wants to with out being too big. I purchased this because my son likes to throw his plates on the floor. I like the separated compartments; it makes it easier for him to eat with a fork and spoon. The suction is strong on this; however, it's really easy to unsuction this from a surface. All you have to do is lift the lip of the suction cup on the bottom and it comes off. So it works for a few good minutes, until my son gets bored and figures out how to remove it. With that being said, I do still like it. It's heavy duty, and more difficult to flip than the light weight plastic plates my son usually uses! ... show more
