The Omen 45L that I bought only came with 16GB of RAM. Bought this to upgrade system to 32GB. For those having issues getting them all to run at 5200MT/s, here's what worked for me. I tried using XMP 1, but the system kept booting to Windows with at 2000MT/s. I tried a handful of other suggestions I found online...still 2000MT/s. What worked was I took a pictures of the memory settings in BIOS with just the two default sticks of ram at XMP 1; which gave me the desired 5200MT/s speed. If you haven't, make sure that XMP 1 at least works when you boot into Windows, and you can verify the default sticks are running at 5200MT/s. I then set them back to "Default" in BIOS, boot to windows and shut off the machine. I added the two new sticks, and let the system boot into Windows...verified that it was still 2000MT/s. Reboot back into BIOS and select "Custom" for the ram, and manually enter all the values that were in the pictures. You could select XMP 1, and then select Custom, and double-check all values so you have...less to input/modify. Save and exit and cross your fingers. The reboots in the middle may not have been necessary, but overall, I feel like the "Custom" part was what worked for me. ... show more

The 2x32 5200mhz kit works great with my r9 7900x & x670e pg lighting motherboard! The only issue is 1 of the ram sticks only lights up half way for some reason. I have the fury ctrl software but that does not fix it. It has persisted through bios updates as well. I think it is a defective rgb strip on the stick. Other than that, These are great. Listen, the new gen RED team boards aren’t really ready to communicate with initial boot of new gen Ryzen CPUs specifically the 7950X. As their initial boot temps skyrocket to or past the failsafe threshold to dynamically turn off the board. Why do I write this for a RAM review? Well, if your building a new gen RED team build the Memory training for the size of you RAM 32+ gigs on initial boot, will give new gen CPUs enough time to heat up and cause that OOTB fail safe function on the board to turn itself off. Memory re-training after a hard shut down and cause more issues on these new boards. I troubleshooted my new gen RED team build for 3 days to find the solution and came to find out that the OOTB frequency profiles that the RAM was trying to use was also causing issues for initial boot at 6000 speeds. “Downgrading” to this nice 5200 speed made for a better initial boot process and better balanced voltage on the CPU. Also performed at a 3% higher average benchmark for the CPU and GPU on average compared to Linus Tech ... show more
