This is a much smaller unit than I visualized, even though I measured everything carefully and their measurements are perfect. Just a heads up! It is perfect for a child's room with the lower height and design. Materials for assembly were well packed, perfect condition, and well organized. It was easy to follow and assemble. Major downside to me is that it stunk very badly, a chemical smell I guess? It gave me a migraine because I'm sensitive, so I had to put it elsewhere for a long while to off-gas. This is a bright white in color. Seems very sturdy thus far. The panel on the doors looks like it is merely glued on, so not quite as pretty as something actually cut to that shape, but not noticeable from a distance. I wish they had another version that was more a standard size (the top of the doors from the floor is only 23") but this works well in the place where we're using it. I don't know how last it will long, being pressboard laminate, but I wasn't expecting an heirloom piece, just something functional to hold books for my kids. ... show more

I ordered 4. They all arrived different days. That was not an issue for me, because I wasn’t in a rush. I’m starting my office from scratch and wanted some cute shelves for files, crafts, doo dads. I didn’t assemble them, but my friend who did said they were easy to assemble. Note these are not super y’all shelves. I put baskets on the top of mine which I can easily reach and get stuff from. I also like the cabinet feature on the bottom where some stuff can be “hidden” to help keep a clean look. ... show more

The specs state that the product is made of "Wood and Veneers" however this is false. Except for the wood cabinet door pulls, there is no wood or wood veneer present in the box. The bookcase is entirely MDF. It's also incredibly unsafe. The bookshelf is comprised of two halves that are meant to be stacked on top of one another. However, the two sections are only secured in the back, so the top can pivot and easily tip over, as seen in the photo. You'll need metal plates or angles to secure the top of the bookcase. Bonus: the coating will smell for about a week or two. ... show more

This is an attractive bookcase but either the paint or the material gives off a smell like formaldehyde. We have had it in a room with a fan blowing and the window open for over a week and as soon as the window is closed for a few minutes the smell is enough to drive you right out of the room.
