  • It is Almost Too Heavy
Color: 25_Silver
This is really not for one-person backpacking. It is too heavy for one person with other gear to carry. However, if it is shared between 2, 3, or 4 people who can distribute the entire weight of their gear evenly, then yes, it is great for backpacking. One person carries this set, another carries the hatchet, a third person carries the small backpacking stove, etc. The two cooking pots are thicker stainless steel and better quality than I expected. The pan/lid is thinner but still good quality. Stainless steel is always easy to clean and does not leach metal toxins like aluminum. The PVC pot handles are convenient if only used with a gas-fueled stove, not campfires. They would quickly burn and melt away over a campfire (it happened to me with a smaller set years ago). The stainless cutlery is cute but almost unnecessary and adds weight. The silicone rubber bowl/cups are worthless. The larger bowl was already torn along a fold when I opened the set. The silicone cups are too thin. They do not remain closed when folded and are too thin to remain safely upright when holding hot liquid/coffee/soup/tea. They clumsily flop around and spill their contents. I threw them away and use a thicker set of folding silicone cups that I had on hand. ... show more

  • Wouldn't recommend. Bad materials and design.
Color: 17_Silver
Bad materials and design. The bowls developed rust spots just from drying after hand washing. The utensils taste like metal near the part that folds. And the bag materials are really cheap and flimsy. Not good quality, wouldn't expect more than a few uses. The pan handle also has a design defect where, during use, it's possible to have the pan handle detatch—this actually ejected half of a meal we were cooking at camp. This looks like other high quality sets, but in my experience those more expensive options don't have these flaws. ... show more

  • Its works but only in the most basic sense
Color: 17_Silver
So this isn't a total disaster. It does work in the most basic ways. and Having everything bundled together is a convenience. But cooking anything including even a simple egg is a mess in this thin tin like metal. You have no heat control and everything stuck to the pans regardless of oils. I wish I had spent more on something nicer. ... show more

  • Great for small camping uses
Color: 17_Silver
This kit works well. The utensils are a little funky, but work. It is easy to pack away in small spaces. It really isn't big enough for more than a person or two.

  • Too thin
Color: 25_Silver
I’m not sure what kind of camping this is, but this sure isn’t camping where you would be hiking. You would need an extraordinary amount of oil you would need to fry basically in this cookware. Also you could not get it to a degree that would actually fry it without burning. Very very thin metal. Great luck though! ... show more

  • Stinks really badly
Color: 17_Silver
An unholy stench from the silicone and plastic-based bags. Otherwise ok. But the smell.

  • Very nice
Color: 17_Silver
Great pot set for camping that involves hiking. Very lightweight and compact. Some of the utensils don’t stay together very well but overall not bad. Good luck with scrambled eggs though.

  • Initial Review
Color: 17_Silver
Bought this set for our upcoming camping trip. I was disappointed in the size of the plates and the size of the smaller bowl... I feel like they are teeny tiny so we will be taking other plates as well. We were able to use the cutlery set tailgating last Sunday and have no complaints. Will update this review on how easy it is to clean when we get to use the pot and pan next month. ... show more
