got this to replace the mattress i'd been sleeping on for somewhere over a decade - it was still a good bed but i was just past the point of needing to replace and/or upgrade. this arrived at my first apartment earlier than i expected (which isn't usually a problem, but considering i hadn't even moved in yet - thank the gods my leasing agent had someone push it into my apartment!) it's on the softer side, which i prefer, and the "perfect" amount of space for a single person + a pet or two (i say "perfect" because we all know what it's like to actually sleep with a pet in the bed). my mom comes and visits me sometimes, and she's got the bad back so i sleep on the couch and she takes my bed; more often than not she gets an actual "restful" sleep (as my room is right next to a streetlamp, i don't have blackout curtains, and living in an apartment means you hear all the neighbors). i'll be turning this bed into my guest bed when i move at the end of the year, and i'll most likely be buying the queen sized version of this bed. my only "complaint" is that my bedsheets are a little too big for this bed, as the one i had before was a bit longer, but that's nothing against the bed. TLDR i recommend this bed to anyone who likes a soft bed at an affordable price, and if you've got back problems it's squishy enough to mold to you but not enough that you sink and cause you more pain when you move/try to get up. ... show more

I need support for my back. I also needed to get a mattress up a very difficult stairway. This mattress is rated as medium firm. It came in a compact box. Two people brought it up the stairs, unpacked it as instructed and it was left to settle for the recommended 72 hours. I must say, it is perfect. Great support and comfort. Yes, this is a good quality bed. It came in a flattened vacuum sealed plastic wrap and rolled up into a cylinder inside of a box. I was surprised. I have never seen a bed delivered in this way. The form of packaging saves space until you are ready to open it up after getting rid of the old bed. Once you cut into the plastic with the little tool provided, you hear the mattress sucking in air and inflating in front of you. Heck, it was fun to see and hear it do that. It is like that satisfying feeling you get from popping bubble wrap. The mattress instructions said not to lay on it until after 48 hours. I wish I knew that in the product description before I bought it. By the time I read the instructions to open it, I had already gotten rid of the old bed, so I could not wait to use the bed. I used it immediately after it inflated. And it is comfortable. The mattress is incredibly tall compared to my old mattress. Then, you have this cushion on top of the part where the springs are. The thickness of the mattress is like 8 inches tall. Maybe 2 inches is that top layer of cushion. It is like a hotel quality bed. I have not slept so well in such a long time. It is like I never knew what a good night of sleep felt like. Over time of sleeping on this mattress, you should start to feel better and maybe realize, you need to buy a better pillow now. There are other mattresses costing thousands of dollars that I cannot afford. I think I bought a good bed for my budget and I am happy so far. For approximately $300 bucks, this is a good purchase. Those other mattresses, costing thousands of dollars, need to fly a person to the moon; if they cannot, then a mattress shouldn't cost that much. I think the price of this particular Crystali hybrid mattress is reasonably priced and the quality of sleep I am getting is great. I really hope this review helps someone get some good sleep. Purchased for my mom who is not a fan of a mattress coming in a box. Her expectations were minimal. Sheโ€™s not a good sleeper to begin with, however, one nights rest on her new mattress had her so happy!! Felt like a traditional spring mattress she always knew.
