Extremely heavy but we used furniture slides to bring it to the bedroom. Yes, you need to carefully cut away the outer plastic first. Then simply unwind the inner plastic and it starts to expand right away. Then just slide it on the frame and let it continue to fill out and firm up. It was 3/4 filled in 2 or 3 hrs and was slept on that night.. It says to allow 7 days for full expansion. It still has a little ways to go at 4 days but you wouldn't know it. It is amazingly supportive and comfortable. It feels firm to the touch but it gives in all the right places and no backaches since it arrived. Highly recommend!

Very nice mattress. Has firm support but is soft and plush. Very stylish pattern. Great for a guest bedroom or for a primary bedroom. Good for back support. Can not feel when others move or turn over in bed. Fairly priced. Easy assembly but will need 2 people to carry it or move it to the bedroom. It is heavy but vacuum sealed. Once package is cut open it will expand to its original size very quickly. Satisfied with this product.

Before I was sleeping on a basic spring mattress that me and mt husband had for years. We upgraded to this and felt the effects instantly. It is a mattress that falls on the firmer end. My husband has lower back problems and he has loved this mattress. As for myself I struggle with hip problems and thought the first night that it was going to be too firm for me. After around 48 hours when the mattress had fully inflated it became much more comfortable for me. We have since slept on it every night and I don’t feel my husband turn over in his sleep. It is comfortable to both of us and we are so glad we made the upgrade.
