This is everything I needed in a blow-up mattress: retains air, easily blows up and deflates, and is comfortable. After having purchased and returned another mattress, I realize what a gem this one is. If you're sensitive to plastic smells, you will need to air it out as you do with all plastic items purchased. The scent will not be gone in 1 to 2 days as the manual says. For 7 days, during the day, I opened a window near the mattress and put a fan blowing over the mattress and toward the open window. Most evenings, I ran an air purifier by the mattress. For another 3 or 4 days, the window was closed but an air purifier was on. To test that the smell was gone, I closed the window and turned off the air purifier for 24 hours then I sat in the room. After my first test, the plastic smell still filled the room, but on my second test the smell was gone. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to make the carrying bag a couple of inches taller so that it completely closes around the bed.

This mattress is great - as comfortable as I'd expect from an air mattress at this price point, and it inflates and deflates quickly (if very loudly). My only gripe is that the repair patch that comes with it, is complete garbage. You'd be better off using duct tape to repair it. My toddler managed to poke two small, pin-sized holes in the mattress, and after multiple attempts, the patch did not hold even for such small repairs. We bought a different repair product, which also didn't work, and then ended up having to throw the mattress away, after using it only a few times. Yes, this was our fault for letting our kid ruin it, but if you're going to include a repair patch at all, it would be cool if it worked. But we went and bought the same mattress to replace it, so suffice it to say that we did like it.

Purchased this air mattress to use until I could buy a "real" mattress for my boxspring and bedframe. In the interim, I fractured my spine in 3 places so the budget process went kaput. I have been sleeping on this Queen sized air mattress for a year now and simply placed it on top of my box spring as if it were an actual "real" mattress. I had initial concerns about comfortability when I purchased it and then the concerns escalated after breaking my spine and having had surgery. The quality of this air mattress is so phenomenal that I honestly have decided NOT to invest the $700+ on a regular matress. It far exceeded my expectations on comfortability as well as sustainability. I'd thought that I would have to frequently blow up the matress siince I sleep on it nighly. Happy to say that this is not the case and it holds air extremely well, along with being able to adjust the level of firmness/softness with just the dial. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to blow the matress up and it is equally as eaasy to deflate and place in the carrying bag that's included. Mattress did make a little bit of noise but was easily remedied by purchasing a mattress cover. I do recommend buying "extra deep 18-24" pocket sheets" for this air mattress although regular Queen sheets did fit with a bit of encouraging. Overall, I absolutely LOVE sleeping on this air mattress and truthfully don't see myself buying a regular mattress now that I have this. The quality, ease of use and the durability have far exceeded my expectations and the pricing is great for such a quality product! Would highly recommend!!

Well, I can’t say how surprised I was at this great air mattress. I replaced an old air matress I’ve been using to sleep in same room as an ill family member and it finally stopped staying full so it was time for a replacement. I was hesitant to purchase these new ones as they sit 13-20” high. I got the twin size. it was so much roomier than what I had and fitted sheets fit perfectly, It inflated in what seems to be under a minute and deflation was just as quick allowing easy storage. It was a simple inflate and deflate button and the cord folds away in a storage compartment. wish the cord was longer as I had to take it to an outlet to inflate it and then move it across the room. it actually fit back in the storage bag as it folded up nicely, Its comfortable and has great support you don’t even think it’s an air mattress. So roomy even my 2 small dogs fit on the twin with me. It’s easy to get out of as the height makes it almost like getting out of a bed. I didn’t like the built in pillow feature which is raised up at the bottom of the mattress but my dog likes it so I put it at my feet and she sleeps there. , for the price, it’s a great quality mattress for guests or additional uses to sleep. Portable and easy to move around, These new mattresses are NOTHING like the old ones that look like inflatable pool rafts! Great purchase

I had an Intex air mattress a few years back and slept comfortably on it for several months - straight. It became a very comfortable daily bed. I liked it a lot. I recently had the need for an air mattress again. I saw this king koil and thought I'd spend the extra money (almost double the price of an Intex) to get what seemed to be touted as the 'Cadillac' of air mattresses. Big mistake! The first thing I noticed was the terrible toxic-smelling odor of this mattress. The pamphlet said it was a PVC smell which would go away in a day or 2. (As a side note, if this is true, then air it out at the factory (for a day or 2) before shipping to a customer's house). Despite the unnecessarily cumbersome inflation apparatus, it inflated super fast - that was the only thing good about this mattress. With fans/AC blowing and windows open (even though it was hot outdoors), I decided to try to get past the smell and sleep on it. It was a very uncomfortable sleep experience. I like a firm bed, so I inflated it as such. The designed oval-shaped 'depressions' in the mattress, meant to look like 'button-tufting' I assume, actually just created dozens of large low spots for the body to adjust to. It was a constant struggle to find a consistent flat surface to lie on. I thought I'd let a 'little air' out to see if I could even things out a bit, and that's when I realized what a pain this inflation/deflation apparatus was. With the Intex, you just move the power switch 'up' to inflate and 'down' to deflate. Super easy, done in the middle of the night, in a dark room, with my eyes closed. And It was super easy to 'fine-tune' the air pressure with 1 or 2 seconds of adjustments. Not a chance with this mattress. You really need to move the mattress head away from the wall, which is when you realize the power cord of 4 ft. is a joke. Then, you need to twist the proper vent until it pops open, at which time a gush of air is released, more than needed, forcing you to then have to inflate. So you close the deflation vent and open the inflation vent which seemed to let even more are out until the power switch was turned on, blah, blah, blah. Way to involved for a middle of the night adjustment and seemingly impossible for the mechanics of all this to allow 'fine-tuning' of the pressure. Last, but certainly NOT least, back to the smell. The entire house smelled of this nasty, toxic-smelling odor. Two people (one in another room) actually complained of headaches. I'd had enough. At 3 am, I deflated the mattress, wrapped it in a blanket and put it in a bath room and closed the door. I finished the night sleeping fairly comfortably - on the couch! I boxed it back up and it's going back tomorrow! This morning I searched the reviews for 'toxic' and 'smell' and it appears I'm not alone. I don't know how long the smell would have lasted, but I wasn't interested in finding out either. As I write this, the mattress has been boxed-up for 2 hours and the house still smells! Another day of fans/AC and open windows I guess. I can't account for the large number of positive reviews. Perhaps they're for a different version or older model with different material (sometimes that's what happens and reviews for different products are combined)...who knows. Regardless, I stand by my review and would not recommend this mattress.

I purchased the 13" height mattress and my hubby said, "This mattress is brilliant!" I waffled between different heights but the 13" was surprisingly high, and hubby said he didn't feel like he was sleeping on the floor. We followed the directions to the letter, and the mattress had no odor and never lost air while he slept like a baby. Inflation and deflation are both under 90 seconds , and the mattress is substantial with a soft pillow top. It did have a pvc smell but was gone within the initial 12 hour inflation. Regular twin sheets fit perfectly ( I ordered the Lane Linen 100% Egyptian Cotton sheets from Amazon). Overall, this is an excellent mattress and would definitely purchase again.

Very nice. I have fewer back, and hip issues sleeping on this mattress for 5 years. I am a side sleeper, but can drift off on my back with this mattress. That position is usually too uncomfortable for me, but is fine with this mattress. It doesn't have any dents, droops, or wear after 5 years. I do use a mattress pad and a sheet on top of that.
