I bought this as a temporary replacement after being so frustrated with those online bed-in-a-box companies that I threw out two mattresses in two years. I needed something supportive for a plus-sized person that wouldn't aggravate my back pain, and I needed it to be low enough for my toddler to easily climb on and off. Pros: This is a great quality air mattress with a fast pump. The pump does require electricity, so don't plan to take it camping unless you've got a generator. For the first week as it settled in, I added air every 48 hours or so, but now that I've been using it for about a month, I top it up about once a week. I expected this from an air mattress, and that's why I got the electric pump--it's really easy to use, just twist the valve, let it run for 30 seconds, and voila, firm mattress. I'm heavy (~285) and this supports me with no problem. I don't feel like it will pop or that it hammocks in the middle. My daughter is a BIG FAN of jumping on the bed, and even with the constant abuse, it's still doing well. I put a rug gripper under the mattress to prevent it from sliding around on my wood floors. Cons: One thing I don't love about this mattress is the built in pillow. As a stomach sleeper, it forces you into a backward banana position that is just not ergonomic. I really wish they had a flat mattress option. Also, this thing is firm. Really firm. If you don't want it to sag in the middle, you really need to blow it up all the way, which means it's gonna be a bit like sleeping on (slightly forgiving) concrete. To get around this, I added a 3" latex mattress topper, which I had planned to do anyway, since I wanted this to feel like a real bed--it's temporary, but why not be comfy? It worked for a few weeks but I still felt it was pretty firm. I decided to add an additional 3" memory foam topper and a pillowtop mattress cover, and now my bed is a fluffy dream. Soft top and supportive mattress. I'm going to buy longer sheets, since my 18" deep pocket sheets are now barely clinging on even with industrial strength sheet suspenders. Verdict: One mattress, two toppers, one rug gripper, some sheet suspenders, a mattress cover and some new sheets later, it's fine. ... show more

We purchased the King Koil twin 20" tall mattress. This is an excellent mattress. It was very comfortable until it started to lose air after a week of use for a house guest. We added air every night for a few nights until it would not stay inflated. Upon careful inspection, we felt a leak around a support coil seam. We installed a patch but the mattress would not hold air. There must be another seam leak somewhere. I contacted the company and they promptly got back to me and sent a replacement mattress after I provided purchase documentation. I could not be more happy. I moved into a new place and I bought it as a temporary mattress until I decided on a permanent bed. The first 5 days were great. After that, I had a few issues. I had to reinflate it approximately every 48 hours (which might be the norm, I don't know). On the 6th or 7th day, I started waking up in the middle of the night trying to get comfortable. When I woke up in the morning, my back was very sore. This is an EXCELLENT air mattress. I just don't think it's good for an extended period of time. Had this less than 1 year. It was only used 2 months a summer for 2 years. Once up it never was deflated. We also put a rubber mat under so it was never abused. Used by one adult ( me), all of a sudden this summer it started losing air. This morning I found myself sleeping next to the floor. Cannot believe I spent this much money for 4 months of sleep. This was a California King mattress so finding a leak was impossible. Update Decided to call customer service and at least tell them my sad story. Explained the situation and to my surprise I had purchased this under a year ago and they will replace it. I just had to take a picture and give a reason. Received an email almost instantly, lo and behold they are sending a new mattress priority! I am updating my stars because of great customer service. ... show more
