We are using this for a garage and I think it will be perfect. I know there will be an issue when it snows but I will be ready. I was able to make it more difficult than needed but with the help of Kelly in customer service I was able to get it up and it looks fantastic. Thanks

Pretty impressed by this carport we had it up all winter with no issues stood up to the snow and wind in Colorado. I did make new ground stakes out of Rebar about 12" long the ones that cane with the carport would never hold in a wind storm.

I would of liked bottom mounts for all posts to secure to bases on ground. Having only six is not good for windy conditions.. The large tarp top is a little difficult but tieing ropes on it and pulling it up that way does work…I am fully satisfied with the finished product..

Definitely a two-person setup, took half a day. The directions are mostly helpful, but definitely needed a second pair of eyes and some mechanical understanding to make assembly more efficient. It is sturdy construction with bolts and wing nuts, anchoring is a must as this will take off in strong winds (used 70-lb sand bags and nylon rope to hold horizontal portion of bars on both sides, used provided stakes for the eye-holes at bottom of pillars to drive into ground on one side [other side is on concrete and I didn't want to use lag bolts]). Enough room for my sedan or SUV to fit and open doors easily on one side. I'd recommend 10'x20' size as my car would stick out about 1.5 feet otherwise. Overall very pleased with this purchase, (we get a lot of snow in the winter, so will likely use a push broom to knock off excess snow from underneath if canopy begins to sag from weight of snow). ... show more

Don’t buy this product unless you are super-sure that you 1) ordered the right size and 2) will not return it, no matter how you feel about the product once you receive it. After ordering the wrong size, I tried to cancel the order but it had already shipped. In the process of trying to return it, I was offered an increasing amount of credit to keep the carport and either give it away or sell it myself. I tried to sell it on Craigslist but had no takers so I ended up biting the bullet and returning it – at my own expense – to the tune of $280. Ouch. Not only did I order the wrong size, but I also wasn’t experienced enough in buying something like this to look at the weight before I added this to my cart. Jee-bus…One of the boxes is 87 pounds and the other is 72 pounds. Even if I had kept it, it was too heavy for me to set up myself - and then, when I wanted to take it down and store it after hail-season - I’d have to again find help to wrangle the thing back down. There are no handles or handholds on the boxes so the delivery people tried to use the (non-load bearing) white binding straps to hoist it. The boxes arrived damaged and rag-tag, with holes in them – and the UPS person probably had a good cursing session trying to maneuver the box that was 5’ long. Obviously, the boxes were a big PIA to get back to UPS. I was initially leery about taking the chance on the product because it was shipped from the vendor rather than Amazon and, BOY, did I learn my lesson on that one. Don’t buy it unless you’re sure. And, if you’re not sure, just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and buy something you can return for free. This was a… Costly, Heavy, Annoying, Mistake of a purchase. I ordered this in November of 2022 ans set it up immediately. It was to cover my boat from the snow this winter. Although we didn't get snow, we did have some rain and wind. The base of the unit was secured to blocks so that they couldn't move, but the wind hit the car port and the pipes folded. The weld came undone for one of the top posts and the tarp was ripped from the stretching and sharp points made from the bent pipes. I am not able to see a place to contact the seller, but my guess is that I am not going to get any sort of refund, partial refund of anything of the sort. I have more pictures if you would like me to share, but the product is honestly not worth the money. I think I paid close to $500 for this last year. ... show more
