It takes more than the clamp it comes with to achieve a proper seal to avoid leakage which still happen more often than not. Item arrived with a damaged wood handle. The mold does not have a smooth finish either, which is unsuitable for actual use. You will need to clean it up yourself, or pay someone to finish it better. If you choose to use it as is, you will have cut lines throughout all of your material.

I bought this ingot in hopes that it would increase my productivity. I cannot give it a four-star because the cons outweigh the pros first and foremost. When I receive the package the box was mangled. The second issue that I had is whenever I poured an ingot the ingot would not release I even pre-prepped the ingot mold by sooting and also using oil still did not help. thirdly, I tried pouring an ingot for a flat sheet and the silver just bunched up at the top. I will still try and use the ingot mold for round wire but nothing else. The reason I decided to purchase this item was because it had a bigger diameter for round wire the 8 mm maybe I will just stick with my old faithful and put this one in storage. ... show more
