The mask work very well. I am not sure what they mean by "semi-dry" but the snorkel does not include a valve at the top that closes when below the water.

My son (age 7) hated putting his face underwater at the pool until he got this. Regular goggles didn’t help. He uses this mask without the snorkel attachment (detaches and reattaches easily). He even likes to use it in the bath.

Great swim mask for our grandkids. The snorkel is NOT safe for kids. There is NO TOP VALVE and it causes children to get a mouth full of water and choke. The mask is great and fits our 4,6,&7 year old grandkids very well. Just do not use the snorkel.

We have only used it a couple of times in our pool and they seem to work great for my 5 yo who is learning how to snorkel. Quality seems to be good but I won't really know till we take it to the ocean for the real thing. I will update once we use it but for now, I will give it a 5 stars!
