There are a bunch of BBQ play toys with similar steam function so you can research and buy the one you like. This model is looks more modern than some which are oval shaped. It appears that it requires a little more assembly than others but it was not difficult to put together. the size is perfect for young kids and my daughter couldn't wait to get her hands on it. The lights and water vapor can be turned on and off by using the lighter or by turning the knobs and so fun to play with. the BBQ comes with a good assortment of food, utensils, and pans. I do wish that it had skewers since it is one of the more expensive sets. I may be paranoid but what I found a little concerning was that the machine was able to create vapor when we first turned it on. That means there was water or liquid already in the toy? That's a first for me and since the toys are made in China, I'm kind of freaked out about what liquid is inside. I'm going to try and figure out if there's a way to empty it first or I'll let it go on outside in the yard until it's all gone.

My grandson recently turned two, so I've been on the lookout for an appropriate gift for him. He's of the age where he likes to mimic the actions of adults around him, so when the Kids BBQ Grill Playset with Smoke Sound Light came across my data feed, I thought this would be perfect! I snapped it up and sent it off to him. My daughter's (his mother's) impressions: - The bbq is super fun for toddlers! My grandson pulls it out whenever the family congregates in the back yard to cook, or just to play - The smoke from the grill is amazing! The water is easy to fill up and the children love to gather around to watch the pretend smoke while my grandson is "cooking". - The light and sound effects do not work. I'm not sure why, but with all the other features, we're not interested in taking time out from play to try to figure out why. My grandson spends hours on the grill, cooking and playing. At 2 years old, he still requires some supervision, especially since small items tend to disappear into his mouth, but most of the items are toddler-safe and he is usually too busy working to worry about eating anything. This kit is highly recommended for those kids (and toddlers!) who love to cook!

My 3 year old is absolutely loving this BBQ playset. We have it positioned right next to Daddy's big grill so when he is out grilling, she can too! It's big enough for more than one child to play, and the lights, sounds, and even the "smoke" make it feel like the real deal (minus the mess!). I was impressed by how many accessories it came with—plenty to keep little hands busy. Assembly was simple, and the wheels make it easy to move around. Great quality, super cute, and keeps them entertained for hours. Definitely a win!
