Sturdy but takes time to assemble. Wish they had more color options. I went with white had my son pick a color and painted myself. The slats are fine for a toddler, but I added a 1/8 sheet of plywood for added support and weight distribution. Took my father in-law and I 4-5 hrs. Would be difficult to do alone. ... show more

I let my husband and daughter sit together to pick out a bed for her and this is the one they agreed on. We love it, and were surprise about how much of it is actually wood and almost no plastic parts (not even the windows). A great bed for the price, well worth it. Daughters love it. Allows them to have their own space while still having to share a room. Was relatively easy to build, did it alone. Would be even easier with 2 people. Underestimated the actual size of this bed so I had to remove the ceiling fan blades to get it to fit for now, will need a low profile fan for sure in the future. ... show more

Honestly, the only reasons I gave it 4 stars was that it took hours to put together and the bar in the middle of the bottom bunk (to the left of the flower box) makes it difficult for us to get our daughter in bed if she falls asleep somewhere else.
