The headset is Great, thanks!! The cord, NO! I bought it for my Granddaughters Birthday in March. I'm the Only one that plugs it into the block, and it stays there. I have Apple everything and know how to plug and unplug items. Never had anything brake except this! My daughter said Mom, y'all can buy one at the Dollar Store, but that's not the point!! We got these headphones so our youngest could use them while on his tablet. He loves them. I'm not sure on nose cancelling or volume control as I have only had them on a handful of times to set them up, and I control the max volume he can use on his tablet using another app (to protect his ears and our sanity) The only real complaint I have is there is a button to change the mode and it disconnects his Bluetooth, and it is a pain to get it to reconnect.
