Bought this as a game for my granddaughter's birthday party and then gave it away as a lucky number drawing to one of the kids. The kids all played with it for the entire party. It was adjusted so that the 3 and 4 year olds could reach it, but the kids up to 7 years old had fun as well! It did not fall over with the strong winds since we had filled the base with water. It came apart easily for the lucky winner to take home with them. And it was a great price as well! The music was a little loud, but when outdoors it wasn't that bad.

This set comes with two inflatable appx 5 inch diameter basketballs. The scoreboard is mounted on a thin 1/2 inch set of pipes to about 5 feet high and attaches to a small base that can be filled with sand or water. Assembly took maybe 5-7 minutes. It uses 3 AAA batteries for the scoreboard. It does come with a little pump to inflate the balls. The scoreboard works on motion of the ball going into the net but scores a point if the ball hits the back of the rim also. But that's to be expected I guess with this basic level of toy. Oddly the scoreboard only goes to 30 then starts over again at 01. The annoying part is the song that plays when you turn the scoreboard on. It plays a loud ten-second tune over and over and there is no way to shut it off (or control the volume!) unless you turn the scoreboard off. Now my two kiddos are playing with it without the scoreboard due to the noise and also the score doesn't mean much when they are both shooting unless they are trying to get up to 30 together. Overall, it is a fun indoor game for the kids though.

This says it can from 2-8 but it is too small and cheap for the older kids. This would be great for a 2-4 year old. I had to get a different one for my 6 year old nephew.

You definitely need to add a sandbag or water to the base to get it to be stable. This is about as sturdy as a $40 basketball kids hoop set is going to get. It's also adjustable so factor that into your durability criteria. Normally things that are adjustable lose some strength due to the ease of being able to move them up/down frequently. My 6 year old enjoys playing with this a lot. The scoring is fun and the noises and music are not too loud but we rarely use them because they can get annoying quickly. Some people are not bothered by the music or sounds of the backboard, I personally just enjoy my son playing basketball as is without the added sound effects. It's very easily to assemble with all instructions included in the box.

The media could not be loaded. My 6 year old grand girl has decided she would like to play basketball this year but she’s really nervous. So her mama (my daughter) played basketball when she was in school and she is going to be her daughter’s coach this year. They live in an apartment so they cannot put up a basketball hoop but they do have a carport this one can stay on. My son in law put it together and said it was not hard at all, it only took him about 15 minutes. The net is nicely made, it came with 2 basketballs and an air pump, my daughter said that was great to have on hand. My grand girl absolutely LOVES it! She was so excited when she called me and kept thanking me over and over again. She was telling me it sings to her ( that is her only complaint) apparently once the scoreboard is turned on the music starts and her exact words were “the dang thing won’t shut up!” However, when she makes a basket the scoreboard cheers for her…see the video…she loves that part. My daughter had to force her to come in last night because she needed to get a shower and get ready for bed. When I asked her to pick between 1 to 10 for how much she likes it. She laughed real big and said “Ummm Mammy, I give it a 12!” I believe it is safe to say she loves it and will get lots of use out of it.

My grandson is really getting in sports and love playing basketball so we picked this up for his 7th birthday and he absolutely loves it. It was pretty easy to put together, although the print in the instructions is really small. We put a few bricks from the yard on top of the base and that worked great and held the holding set up down nice and steady. In a few minutes we were having blast playing with him. The sound works great, but the backboard shot counter will sometimes register shots that didn't actually go in. But that certainly wasn't a big issue for us. The only other thing is that the description says it goes up to 5.9 ft, which technically would be just shy 5 ft 11 inches. 5 feet 9 inches for the maximum hoop height is more accurate. But overall, this hoop should provide my grandson hours of entertainment, either outside in nice weather, or inside this winter. And as long as he doesn't try to hang on the rim, it should last a good while.
