I'm rating based on the box staying nice during shipping and the fact that this looked like it would be a lot of fun for my grandson to play with. This is very small. Like width wise. I'm not the biggest fan of it. It's a cute toy. Emphasis on toy. It's not stable. Even with base weights. It's just not sturdy. I feel like a good gust of wind could blow it over. It was super easy to assemble though. Didn't take very long at all. My son likes it. He feels like he's playing basketball like his big brother. Just on a smaller goal. He doesn't like that he can't use his normal basketball though. Because it's too big for the hoop. All in all it's just okay.

The size for these basketball goals/hoops are always a little bit misleading. Such as this Amazon listing, which shows the goal is a foot taller than the kid playing and the ball is bigger than his head. The truth is that everything is much smaller and somewhat flimsy. But you get what you pay for! It comes with 3 balls, a pump, a plastic base that can be filled with water or sand, a thin set of poles, a metal rim, and a plastic backboard that has LED lights and score that can be controlled with a remote. I would recommend doing away with the poles and base, and simply hang the backboard on a door. Kids will love the LED lights and score, and you won't have to deal with water/sand falling out of the plastic base onto the carpet or hardwood floor when this thing tips over, which is still possible because of the flimsy components. Make sure you tell your kid not to slam dunk so hard -- the rim is solid, giving the impression that a dunk won't hurt it, but the plastic backboard can be damaged easily with too strong of a dunk. Overall it is definitely worth the price though!

The good: 1. Good adjustable height range. 2. Easy assembly. 3. Doesn't tip over easily due to the ability to weight the bottom and the tripod design at the bottom. 4. Flexibility: you can mount it on a door or use the base. 5. Can be used both indoors and outdoors- the materials look like it could survive outside through a rain or two, but after that I'm not sure if it would rust, however. The bad: The only bad thing I can really state is that the center pole seems a bit flimsy. When the pieces between the adjustable knobs are fully extended the backboard and pole seemed to tilt a bit to the side (see the photo). We got this so our 5 year old nephew could play together with his older cousins, and I feel that this is better suited for him than for the slightly older kids in terms of "aggressive" or "age-appropriate hustle" when playing. The ball is also a tad bit lightweight, but that isn't a huge issue. Overall I think it is good for the price, especially for younger kids.
