    • As good as new! I bought one brand new and the other "renewed" and so far so good 2 months in!
KICKER = INCREDIBLE SQ but w/ BASS! As the headline says, I purchased one new and one "renewed" but both seem to pound equally as hard with fantastic SQ! I LOVE these subs bcuz of the fantastic SQ (sound quality) while there being TONS of deep BASS! Shakes my Ford Edge to death! Can hear me from blocks away (plural!). I started off with one but within a month I upgraded to two and put them into a "Q-Bomb" enclosure covered in "Rhino Truck Bed Liner" which turns out to be as tough as concrete! I'm about to add a second baffle to it but was the best $130 I've spent on any enclosure! Be aware, the box is HUGE!! 36"x22"x14.5" to be exact. I know I really like long detailed reviews on the car audio equipment I was considering so I'm trying to 'pay it forward' with this review. Truth be told, I also add 2lbs of Poly-Fill inside my box to make it bellow out even deeper bass! It's tuned to 42 Hz but with these subs in it, I've found 47 Hz being the loudest according to my wide spectrum meter (app). These subs are loud down to 35 Hz, yes they can go much lower but it's not loud like it is around 40 Hz. I'm powering them with the Rockville DB16 amp. There's a good YouTube video of testing it on the SMD amp dyno. As you'll see in the old photos, (I've added somethings since then such as the AudioControl LC7i LOC) you'll see I am also relying on a 2 Farad PA Capacitor which has been giving me slight issues here and there but is to be expected since it is less than one-third of the price of other 2F caps ($30). I'm about to sell my box AND L7S subs and upgrade to 15"s! I haven't decided if I will stick with the L7s because the 15s are quite expensive! I'm looking at NVX, SoundStream, Skar, SunDown, etc (in order of preference) because they are less expensive than Kicker L7Ss. SUMMARY: Pretend this renewed sub is brand new when you're considering purchasing it because as far as I can tell it is! (Although it'd be quite difficult to hear a difference without comparing/playing each solo one at a time while SPL metering the dBs for a fair comparison. What I like is Kickers have a 1 year warranty that they honor well while having the long-time reputation to back up their products! There's a GOOD reason why KICKER has done so well and for so long! Too many people hate on Kicker and for no good reason! Too much hating in this industry just as Sean, the owner of EMF always says. I always say: KICKER = INCREDIBLE SQ but w/ BASS! ... show more

These speakers are Insane. One kicker L7 12" kicks out more db than 2 Rockford fosgate 10" DVC p3's. Haven't given them the torture test but they seemed pretty solid for a rebuild.

Sounds amazing. It is everything I was hoping for and then some. The sound and bass quality is so nice. I have one 12 in my Nissan armada SUV with an 800watt amp and it is plenty loud.

Played this speaker after getting it installed at underrated to break it in it went out on me but I'm ordering another to see if I Received a bad one out of the batch I'm probably not gonna send the blown one back due to the shipping cost I wish I read The return policy before I bought them on the next order I will add the protection line ... show more
