  • Very good guitar for a very good price.
Color: red
Very good guitar for the price Neck was dead straight, no excessively high frets and no buzzing. Action height is very close to ideal, nut is cut very well with the exception of the low E that just needs a few strokes of the nut file for my personal preference. Even the intonation was very close on all strings, so factory time has been spent setting it up. I have looked all over the finish and I am picky. All I can find is a few tiny black specs on the white piping and a little blemish in the urethane on the neck, which will polish out. In short an excellent overall finish. I got the red one , it is very well done and has " burst" grain, which I was very happy with. The body is thinner than most Les Pauls but this makes it a lighter weight. It will need strings and maybe sometime in the future pickups as I just connect to a 50w amp, but anyone with stage paraphernalia may just enhance the tone to an acceptable level. All in all an excellent guitar punching well over its weight for the price. ... show more

  • AMAZING LP COPY! EDIT
Color: Yellow
This is the second KGD I’ve purchased, the first being the SG copy. I LOVE THEM BOTH! Is the fit and finish on this LP copy perfect? Nope. Do I give a darn? NOPE! This guitar is great looking, and most importantly, plays amazingly! I lowered the action, tuned it and started jamming. The neck is fast and comfortable, comparable to my Epiphone ‘59… maybe even better. Ball end frets and binding mean no sharp edges. Electronics are good through my Boss Katana 212. I love this guitar. Forget the whole “a good guitar for the price” crap. This is just a great guitar straight up. Most of my other guitars hover around the $1000 mark, and this KGD holds its own and then some. BUY IT before they realize what they have and raise the price to $600! I love this guitar. Did I say that already? EDIT: I just received my THIRD KGD LP Sunburst… This guitar is perfection! I found one small flaw (one fish eye) in the clear coat on the back, nothing else. I immediately lowered the action which is simple and anyone can do, then started playing my favorite Black Sabbath riffs. The neck and action on this new guitar is even better than the SG and LP yellow guitars I’ve already received. I honestly can’t believe the quality. I won’t be upgrading the pups or anything else. In fact, I’m selling my Epiphone LP and my Kramer ‘84… they don’t compare to this KGD. I’m serious! Maybe I just got a good one three times in a row, I don’t know. I just know that I’ve found my favorite guitar brand and KGD will be used as my main guitars from now on. I haven’t been paid for this review, nor do I have any affiliation with Censtar/KGD. I just want to get their name out there because this company deserves a lot of credit for what they are doing. ... show more

  • Very good for the price
Color: Yellow
This is a very good guitar, I’m impressed with everything on it from the turners and the electronics. Mind you that this isn’t a Named brand high priced instrument so you have to get a proper setup done but just even out of the box it played well after you tuned the strings and stretched them out a little. It’s a beautiful color with very few flaws. It’s not a thick body and it does have the neck dive if you use a regular strap however you can use a leather strap and it works better. It comes with the large pots and a switch craft style 3 way selector also some Grover style turners that work well. The intonation was off some but you could play with it like that. Anyway is it perfect? No Is it a good value of a guitar? YES The SS frets and the rolled edges are fantastic very smooth, I didn’t check for high frets but this is a short review. I’ve got other KGD guitars and they are also good, so if you get a bad one just send it back no problem. Hope this helps anyone looking for something different. ... show more
