I have one mounted i use with my snowplow for the last 2yrs, and thought it would eventually go out so i bought a second one, and never used it yet because the first one is still working fine. If you need a handle bar switch, this one does the job great.

    • Seems like a very close replacement for Polaris switch
Seems to work fine in controlling the winch that raises and lowers the plow on my Polaris ATV. Hasn't had a real test, as we have not had snow since I installed it. This is a modular switch, and you can't just swap out the switch. A good part of the bike must be taken off to thread the wires. My switch had gotten stuck in the "IN" position, and snapped the cable. So I had to pull the winch and untangle the cable. I don't recall if winch removal would have been necessary if I hadn't had that problem. In any case the difficulties mounting the switch were the result of Polaris design, which KFI had no choice but to follow closely. So the blame does not fall on KFI. It appears to provide the same capabilities at a lower price, lacking only a hood to prevent accidental actuation of the switch. ... show more

    • It works great now but it took about five hours
It was quite a hassle in my case to get this switch hooked up. First of all I didn't relize in my case I needed more than just the switch. I was replacing a switch where all the hot wires were up to and on the handle bars. I ordered the switch, then had to order the controller. Between the two I spent close to $30.00. Could have replaced the switch for nine+. Anyway finding a place to mount the controller was a task in itself. Finally got it mounted under the front skid plate on some fabricated aluminum angle iron. It works great now but it took about five hours. ... show more
