Easy to install. Self stick adhesive is good. We bought this primarily for ambient lighting and hoped to use it with the TV off. If you use the TV's USB power, obviously the lights won't work with the TV off. So we have it plugged in to external power source. Range of brightness is fine for our purposes. It does get rather bright. This photo is on a lower setting. There is a timing setting and an integrated mic so it does change ambient sound with the TV. You control with your phone so there isn't another remote to keep up with. Definitely not disappointed for what we need. ... show more

    • Definitely don’t turn off/on with TV

Does not turn off and on with TV even when plugged into TV usb??? The main reason I got these was so they would just turn off/on with the tv on a set color….. they worked that way initially but when I installed the app to change the color and settings, they would only turn on with the app on my Samsung TV. On my Hisense Roku tv (mostly used for games) the lights will turn on with tv, but take a long time to turn off, which is only once the TV finally goes into rest mode. Once the lights turn off on the Samsung, they stay off even when the tv is turned back on. Defeats the purpose of what I got them for. Definitely not as good as my Govee lights I got for another tv several years ago. The brightness is also lacking, as there are very few LED lights on the strip. There is one LED light every inch or so, so they are very spaced out. Good for very low ambient lighting but if you’re looking for bright lights, this won’t be the one for you. ... show more

This was purchased for my granddaughter and she had them on her wall before discovering they wouldn't work. After some reading on the product we were able to get them to work correctly. Instructions would be nice as far as connecting them.
