The top review on here says this is a fake. Apparently their package has the batch code knifed out on the box. Mine did not. That review also claims that tobacco oud was discontinued prior to its batch date of 2021 (A21 batch code). The bottle I got is also A21. I know the tobacco oud discontinuation was announced in 2020 but I cannot find any info anywhere, including talking to a Tom Ford rep at Bloomingdale's, about when the last bottling was. In all other respects this passed the authenticity test. The smell is faithful to the original, whiskey top note with sweet cigar tobacco on the dry down. Even though Tom Ford is one of the most counterfeited fragrances in the market because the packaging is easy to mimic, there are a few tells even of the good ones. If you take it the atomizer top, authentic TF has all plastic atomizer components while the fakes will have a metal atomizer base. Authentic TF also has plastic coating all around the inside of the atomizer cap and so did the bottle I got. I'm so convinced this is the real deal that I ordered a second bottle before writing this review because I didn't want it to sell out. These might be the last few bottles of tobacco oud ever and it might be my favorite scent of all time so I had to get a second. ... show more

I still dont know if I love it or if this is overpriced fake sophisticated garbage. Here is what I will say... This is by far the longest lasting modern day fragrance I've purchased. Today most fragrances dont last more than a few hours. I still smelled it as I was taking a shower the very next day. The first day I wore this I got mostly negative responses. Some people were borderline offended by it. This beautiful woman at work told me I smell like old man bo. I was crushed...there goes my date. Despite this I still could not determine if I liked it or not. There is something subtle about it that I just can't put my finger on that makes it appealing to me. ... show more

The box comes in defected and the perfum is not authentic or original. You can see the writing differences between the original and the fake one. In addition, there is no scent, it smells nothing!!
