  • The positives are its a shed and relatively easy to put together
Style: Shed
I'd give this a 3.5 if there was such a rating. The positives are its a shed and relatively easy to put together. instructions are visual, but with some common sense it goes together quickly and easily. The whole package is big and heavy as delivered. Individually, pieces are big, but light enough to move easily. there were extra screws, at least one, in each package. You can assemble it on a flat surface, like a deck, and empty it can be moved around without too much trouble. OR, you can attach it to your base. Here, I need a permit for that, so kept it as a "temporary" unit. Painted mine as the light color was intrusive where we located it. On the other hand, it is flimsy. Even fully assembled it shifts and bends. In the heat of the truck, and the sun, the pieces warped which made assembly a little more difficult than it needed to be. We had to do the roof off the shed and move it as a piece because of the warping. In a do over, I'd do the entire top part of the shed separately and move it in place as a unit! Have a similar shed from Costco, 1/3 larger and 1/3 more expensive, but light years better in quality and was expecting something akin to that, so immediately, was disappointed. Roof panels are flat black, so direct sun is going to really make the shed super hot and also helps with the warping! Painted them too. The floor feels weak, so not sure how it will hold up if there is any weight in the shed, but we'll find out. they suggest using wood boards for shelving, I've got metal racks that I was planning to use. Hoping they won't end up poking through the plastic flooring. Can't figure out the door latch. Obviously have to poke a hole in the wall of the auxiliary door to accommodate the latch mechanism; but its placement makes getting to the screw to attach the plate to the door pretty much impossible. The latches that hold the aux door shut don't work if the door warps in the heat and without the latch in place, the main door is already warping. There are small roof vents, but are not big enough to serve much purpose - of course we are in record heat most places. Replaced the window pane with a screen to keep interior temps down. Am hoping it will last at least 10 years.am planning on going over all joints and seals with some good exterior caulk to buff it up a bit as I can see through gaps already, so that shouldhelp. Will let you all know if there are big problems down the line. ... show more

  • Good shed. Easy to assemble. Very solid!
Style: Shed
Solid shed. The box showed up looking like it had been in a streetlight but everything was included and pieces were in brand new condition. Delivery was scheduled as delivery and was on time. They dropped it on my backyard for me till. A few pointers: - This can easily be assembled by one person. I did it alone it about 2.5 - 3 hours. I’m not exactly a handy person so if you can follow directions, you’re golden. - the directions aren’t nearly as confusing as some people have said they are. It’s not the most informative set of instructions but it’s easy enough to follow and is filled with diagrams. - if it’s not going on a slab, do yourself a favor and build a frame out of 2x4’s and plywood. I initially planned to assemble it on top of gravel (which I was using to level out an uneven area) and the floor is just too mailable and thin to handle that. That’s not to say the floor is thin, but a platform is the way to go. - When screwing down the roof (from inside and outside), make sure it’s snapped in place properly and even. Use a drill bit to puncture the ceiling tiles. It’s very difficult to drive the screws if you don’t. I’ve only had this assembled and on place for one day but it’s solid as heck and it looks great. Also a great price for its size! ... show more

  • I called Keter twice with questions and their customer service was great. Didn't know the answer
Style: Shed
Start with the order: I called Keter twice with questions and their customer service was great. Didn't know the answer, but did some research to get the answer. I ordered and had a scheduled delivery. The delivery man actually offered to cart it to the back yard without me even asking even though it was late Friday afternoon and I would have expected him to drop and run. Construction: I built a wood deck to put the shed on a couple weeks before the shed arrived. The instruction are nice and parts are nicely labeled. My wife and I put the shed together in two hours and twenty five minutes. It was easy to put together, everything was great except for how hot it was. Durability/final product: We purchased some wood from HD as shelves which went in nicely (see pics). The shed is a great size and pretty durable for our push mower, gas can and other small things. However, I didn't like the roof. It is a very flimsy piece of plastic that does not overlap the sides. It fits snug in there, but by overlapping the roof and it will ensure it stays weatherproof longer. The material, roof, and sides is very flimsy, so I could imagine as the instructions say, "Don't let snow or wet leaves accumulate on the roof. It will definitely bow the walls causing it to leak. I noticed a problem where the skylight (which does overs some good light) and the roof/side didn't come together. Most likely my fault, but I caulked the top of the room anyways. Hopefully it stays. Final Score- I think it is great for the price but will have to see how many season/years it last. For now, for the money, it is worth it. ... show more
