I have used these dumb bells for over 4 months now and I'm very happy with them. The only negative thing I could say about them is that when you put them back in their rack while there are some weights still in the rack, is that it's a little difficult at times to get them seated properly. Maybe that issue will go away over time, or maybe it won't, but isn't not a big issue to me. The weights work like they should and it's easy to adjust the weight setting. The only other thing is that I probably should have ordered the weight set that was the next heavier (up to 50lb.) but I didn't know how much I would need, so that's on me! Generally good - love the solid feel of the metal handles and how crisp and reliable the weight switching is. 4 stars because these are indeed a bit too wide and also the weights are not distributed evenly around the dumbbells - basically one side (top or bottom) can feel heavier which results in a bit weird feeling when pulling them. Great adjustable barbell. I bought a second one because the first quickly became my favorite piece of equipment. The mechanism is smooth and easy to operate on both, and even with both barbells they take up only about 1.5sqft of space in my home.
