I purchased this kit so I could start waxing my boards at home and save money. The kit worked well and was complete with everything you would need to do the job. The only other expense you may want to include for the home guy is clamps but you can manage without them. The kit arrived in a nice little bag so you can take it alone with you on your trip if you wish. The iron was small and light weight - did the job well. The only issue you may have is with the wax - it was good (not great but good) because it depends on the temp where you are. Meaning this wax will not work for everyone depending on where you are climate wise so read the wax temp if you are going to use this wax. This way you know what you are getting, I know not everyone will and that might result in a bad review so I am letting the purchaser know to read before you buy. Really complete kit and gets the job done. I would recommend this product.

The boyfriend loves it! Best Christmas gift he got he said. He spent a few hours tinkering with it and got his board waxed for the season. I got a few different waxes to go along with it because it only comes with one. Great starter kit, easy to use and love that it packages away so neatly!

Everything you need to tune your ride. The edge guide with 4 different degrees of tuning is great but needs fine tuning with this complete kit. Aside from that it has everything you need to do it right.

This kit has everything you need to tune your base except base cleaner. I tuned my husband's skis effortlessly, using cold weather wax and had zero issues. The issue for snowboards is that the iron is anemic; not enough heat, in my opinion. It gets hot, but cannot heat up the base enough even at the highest setting. If you only tune skis, this kit is 5 star. If you are tuning a snowboard, especially a wide board, get a better iron like a Swix or something else with a heavier base so it holds the heat.

The only thing you may want to pick up is additional selection of waxes. This set contains only one style of wax and you will want different selections for the season and region where you ride. And, you need to be able to figure out a stand of some sort as well, where you scrape and rewax your board. And, I should say, this kit is for skis and snowboards. Good kit to get started but I suspect as you start to master your own rewax and re-edging, you will want to expand your tools and supplies. Get learning on how to wax your board/skis. Save money and avoid shoddy work of others.
