When my old winter coat developed a large rip in the shoulder, I decided I wanted to look in the men's section for a new one. When I found this coat, I was immediately set on it. I was impressed by the reviews, and figured if it performed even half as well as people were saying, it would be at least as good as my old coat. I've been wearing it all winter, and I am absolutely blown away. First, the sizing. I found it to be accurate to measurements, although I should have ordered a size up instead of ordering the closest fit, as it's a little snug over the hip. I don't really mind, though, since that helps keep me warm when I'm wearing it over snow pants to do outdoor chores. It's also the first coat I've found in a very long time that had a nice tall hood. Most hoods are too short for my long neck (even women's), and putting the hood up raises the garment off my shoulders, putting almost the entire weight on my head and neck. Second, comfort. I've already said it's warm. It has kept me warm enough to be sweating through my clothes in below zero windchill. The outer she'll is wind and waterproof, the lining for the torso is super plush and very insulating, the inner sleeves are lined in a satiny fabric so your clothes don't drag on it, and whatever fill they use is not only incredibly insulating, they lined the ENTIRE coat with it, hood included! I wanted warm, and I absolutely got it! As far as looks go, I love the color and pattern. I especially love that it camouflages dirt, so it won't show stains as badly as my old coat does. For quality, the entire coat is cery well made, and the shell is very solid and heavy duty, so I expect to get plenty of wear out of it. The main zipper opens and closes easily, but the pocket zippers tend to snag and be a little harder for me to close. It could just be the angle I pull the zipper at. I haven't washed it yet, but the washing instructions are clear and easy to find on the inner side tag. Machine wash cold, hang to dry, no tumble dry or dry cleaning, and ironing is completely unnecessary (and not recommended). Overall, this is one of the best, warmest coats I have EVER owned, and when the day finally comes that I've worn it too hard for too long and completely worn it out, I'll be looking for this same brand again. In the meantime, I'm recommending it to all my family and friends!

I have ordered a lot of oversees made winter jackets online. Mostly, they are much smaller than specified. Also, they are usually much thinner. However, this jacket breaks the norm I have been used to getting. A lot of people review that the jacket they bought was warm down to and below freezing temperatures. But few I have bought have been. This one really is. I made the mistake of wearing it to go grocery shopping. In the store I was soon sweating and had to open the jacket up. I nearly had to take it off. Outside, it is very good at keeping the wind out. And speaking of wind, the hood fits around the head nicely and sticks out in front with enough stiffness to keep out almost all of the wind except a direct wind. The fur like lining is both comfortable and warm. The lining in the sleeves is polyester so it does not grab your shirt sleeves when you put it on. The zipper seems good to me and there is a flap over it to help with keeping the wind out. The sleeves, for me, were a little long. But when you reach out they do not ride up your forearm. Also, they have adjustable Velcro straps so you can adjust them to your wrists and then they do not extend all the way down. Also, there is elastic on the sleeve along with the velcro closure. That way, when you push your arm through the sleeve the elastic gives and your hand can go through. You do not have to release the Velcro to get your hand through.But if you want, it is easy to let them fall over your hands and you do not need gloves. I knew this was going to be a good jacket as soon as I saw the box at my doorstep. Most jackets I have gotten have been shipped in plastic bags. This jacket was in a wide box. When I picked up the box, I immediately knew that this was going to be a warm jacket by the weight of the box. The weave of the outside material is tight and blocks the wind well. This is not a car coat. It is a very warm, well made outdoor winter jacket.

Pros: Good fit, warm, and fairly comfortable. Cons: 1. The hood - although good fit - is not well-designed; the flaps with Velcro, that cover the face, are too short to reach the ends and cover the face, and so are the ropes to lock/tie them. 2. The main outside side pockets are not deep enough, and the phone may fall out of them, and the chest pockets could be larger/deeper, especially inside chest pocket.
